My grandmother spent the last years of her life here and while we had some issues, the staff and place was home. I wouldn't say the place is perfect, but I would highly recommend it to anyone. Madison, one of the nurses, definitely deserves the nursing Heisman award.

I would rate as 4 or 5 star if caregivers did their jobs fully and HVAC was dependable.

Previous poor reviews of this facility are 100% accurate. This place steadily increases the costs to the resident and their family while basic services go by the wayside and significantly suffer. In particular, the nutritional needs of the residents are not being met. A sandwich for their primary source of nutrition at nearly every meal is not acceptable and when there are other items to choose from, they are cold, unappetizing or moldy. Complaining to the food service manager only elicits extremely arrogant responses from him. The facility administrator backs him up and has done nothing to ensure quality nutritional meals. They say they try hard and that they aren’t perfect based on the response from another complaint. Tell that to the residents who are not being fed properly. There are other issues as well (unfriendly staff, slow response times and adequate staff to serve the residents). Avoid this place and find a home for your loved one besides this one.

The staff is, for the most part, very friendly (a few really stand out and genuinely care) but weaknesses lie in the delivery and taste of the food. Dining staff can be quite rude. Update: after more than a year, it was nice to see the owner FINALLY responded. Sadly, nothing has changed. The “trying” is “failing”.

I had the honor and the privilege of providing music for a very elegant evening. I have never seen such a staff collaborate in such a way where everything ran so smoothly. The residents had amazing food! The facility was absolutely beautiful and had me questioning whether or not I would even like to move in one day. Florence is blessed The Manor as one of their choices to retire.
