The West River Health Campus Memory Care unit is a very good facility, attractive and clean, and the unit is well managed by Megan Caswell. Megan has an excellent staff of competent people who are dedicated to caring for their residents. They do a good job of helping their residents through some difficult times.

West River Health Campus – Evansville, Indiana Choosing a long-term care facility for a loved one is one of the hardest decisions you may ever have to make. As an only child, I never imagined having to make this decision for my mother, but after she spent 17 nights as an inpatient in the hospital, it was evident that it was time, I needed to find a permanent place where she could be transferred and truly cared for. My very supportive husband and I visited 17 facilities in just four days, and from the moment we walked into a Trilogy facility, including West River Health Campus, we could feel the difference. There is something special about their homes—you sense it immediately. My mother was transferred to Memory Care Assisted Living at West River in a private room, and from day one my heart has been overflowing with blessings upon blessings. The staff at West River are phenomenal, loving, and genuinely invested in the residents. Megan Caswell, Director of Legacy’s Memory Care Assisted Living unit, is truly an angel in disguise. She went above and beyond in every way imaginable—professionally and personally. She was incredible with my mom and just as compassionate and supportive with me during a very emotional time. Every staff member we’ve encountered—from leadership, to Jenna, Betsy and the other Daily Rhythms activity leaders, to laundry, housekeeping, dietary, and medical staff—has been outstanding. They are warm, personable, attentive, and truly care about the residents as individuals. The food deserves special recognition as well—the cook is phenomenal!! I could NEVER get my mom to eat anything green for me, yet she ate her green beans on her very first day there! I’ve even seen her eat asparagus! The best part? Not once has my mom ever asked to leave with me when I visit. She appears content, happy, and at peace. She is always out in the commons area when I come to visit–not isolated in her room. That alone speaks volumes. One of my favorite features of West River is the two beautiful outdoor courtyard areas—one with rocking chairs and another with a lovely bench swing and seating—perfect for spending quality time together in a peaceful, secure setting. West River’s Memory Care program is thoughtfully designed and truly centered around dignity, love, and engagement. From private personalized suites, 24-hour assistance, Daily Rhythms programming, their Best Friends Approach, fulfilling activities, and safe, secure courtyards—it is clear they treat residents as they would their own loved ones. I could go on and on, but there truly are not enough words to describe how wonderful this facility and staff are. The most important thing to me was finding a place where my mom would feel loved, safe, secure, happy, and no longer lonely—and West River has exceeded every expectation. I highly recommend West River Health Campus to anyone searching for long-term care for their loved one. I thank my Heavenly Father daily for leading us to this place😊

My grandma spent some time at West River Health Campus, and I was truly impressed with the outstanding care provided by the nursing staff. Each team member went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being. She frequently mentioned how much she enjoyed the meals, noting that they were not only nutritious but also delicious and varied, which made her dining experience enjoyable. One nurse on the day shift stood out to her the most, as she was exceptionally attentive and always ready to assist with her medication needs. This nurse’s warm demeanor and reliability made a significant difference in my grandma's day-to-day experience. During a visit, my grandma took a stroll around the facility with my mother, and she couldn't help but remark on how immaculate the surroundings were. The building's cleanliness truly impressed her, as it contributed to a welcoming and safe environment. My grandma also had wonderful things to say about the therapy team. They were not only skilled and professional but also brought a friendly, encouraging attitude to each session, making her feel supported throughout her rehabilitation. Knowing that my grandma was receiving such high-quality care while I was away gave me immense peace of mind. If she ever needed care in the future, our entire family would undoubtedly choose West River Health Campus again, confident that she would be in the best hands.

My grandmother has lived here for over a year now. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. When you have a problem they fix it to the best of their ability. The foods great and the matience team is prompt with anything that's has broken. 10/10 would send grandma here again.

As a resident of West River for over 6 years, I have been able to experience first hand the kindness and patience of the staff here. From the nurses and aides to the therapy team, everyone works hard to make sure we are safe and well cared for. The facility is inviting, clean, and well maintained. I have been deemed the head of the ‘Welcoming Committee’. This allows me to make sure each new resident feels accepted and comfortable. I am truly grateful for the quality care and compassion I’ve received and would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for nursing care for their loved one.
