My brother is a resident here. He is getting excellent care. I had the priviladge of spending a week visiting him and following his daily routine. Everyone i came in contact with treated him with the utmost respect and their care and concern was very evident. He has had a few complaints but in every case those involved worked hard to help understand the issue and make changes where needed. In speaking with the staff I heard things like "the residents here are like family to me." Prior to moving to WNVH my brother either lived alone or in facility where he was getting physical therapy after a 10 day hospital stay. I constantly worried about his well being then. I am finally able to stop worrying knowing he is getting a high quality level of care. He spent about 6 months in a facility whose purpose was to help him regain as much mobility as possible and work toward the removal of a feeding tube put in during a hospital. He has been at WNVH for 3 months and made so much more progress here than he made in the previous 6 months. The physical therapy group here is so dedicated and committed to helping residents and it shows in the results.

The staff here are very kind, it's kept extremely clean and the members are taken care of so well. It's a wonderful place to be.

My mom is a resident there now but her time is coming to end staff told family that only 3 at time and if we needed to be together we needed to leave grounds. and my dad needed time alone with her. We have a big family needed to say our good byes so its very hard to see my dad having to care for my mom alot by himself in her final days they were on lock down for such a long time when we were not able to even see them. So thinking staff will be there when no one is able to be there makes me so sad. As my mom cannot push button by her self only having to wait until someone checks on her by then she'll have forgotten what it was she needed. I told them my concerns about night shift being mean to my mom she said well check it out. Last night my moms meal was to be soft foods like ground they sent a regular meal she isn't able to eat that and I tried to call the vets home once I left them but could get no answer there so yes im sad for my parents having to endure the end of their lives.

My Parents are receiving Great Care at this facility. They both are happy and adjusted well to the new living arrangements. From what I have seen at this facility it is far better than the elder care facility in town that are Not ran by the VA. I realize I do not know every client's story and situation. But our family's pleased with the Staff and Facility.

Very disappointed with the lack of care our veterans receive at this facility.
