It is an awful place to send your loved ones who can't take care of themselves. Horrible and cold oatmeal, grits, and food in general. Luckily I was able to transfer to a better place in South Florida.

After years of picking up folks walking between the Marathon Gas convenience store and this place, having heard many stories, I can tell you this. Do not let your loved one stay here. Ive picked up multiple with severe mobility issues (walkers, etc) who would rather make the nearly mile-long roundtrip trek there and back, than eat the food provided in the cafeteria. The exterior of the building looks like it hasn't changed in 50 years, and I've been told the inside isn't much better. The owner has his Maybach Mercedes, Bentley Continental, Rolls Royce Phantom, and C8 Corvette out front on display in some weird attempt to legitimize the place and shock-and-awe people into looking past the details, but knowing some of the conditions I've heard (again, these are just patient stores on a quick drive over), it's a little sickening to see

Make sure you actually step foot in a room and see for yourself… visited while scouting for recovery homes for loved one and was appalled

Have been to many retirement homes in West Florida and I have been very impressed with how professional the staff has been, especially Carrie and Tonja. Zac certainly knows how to hire quality staff. Tonja has always been punctual, is very sweet-natured and loves her job (it shows in her work habits and at how loving and caring she is with her patients). If my parents needed use of a facility like West Pointe, I’d certainly consider placing them there, as long as Zac was still running West Pointe. I’m a retired teacher and I know quality when I see it.

If I could give it a zero I would. I had a family Member there for over a year, impossible to find residences for memory care, we started out very apprehensive due to the amazingly bizarre appearance of the grounds and facility, stuffed animals, a fountain, chickens, exotic birds, a rickshaw, and just wild decorations every where. My family member developed a very troubling and long term respiratory problem that had her emitted to the hospital numerous times long story short, we rehomed her to a new smaller facility, that doesn’t have a moldy smell like Westpointe, and low and behold no more respiratory issues. That place is a death trap!
