Whitehall West Assisted Living

We had to move my mother into assisted living 5 months ago. After visiting all of the area facilities, SHE chose Whitehall. The facility is so nice & clean with very spacious 2 room apartments. She raves about the food and how delicious and nutritious everything is. They provide activities twice daily with a variety to fit everyone’s interests. The monthly restaurant and shopping outings are her favorites, along with her weekly hair appointments (included in the price.) The staff goes above and beyond to offer a safe and secure environment. The building is updated and grounds are beautifully manicured year round. Staff members are so attentive and having a registered nurse onsite is the “cherry on top.” It is large enough for privacy, yet small enough so you don’t become a number. We are so thankful for Whitehall!! Wish I could give it 10 stars!

Mom has been at Whitehall for almost 2 years and she loves it! We all love this place. Everyone is so sweet and caring and does everything to truly make it feel like home! If there are any concerns, someone calls us immediately which is so comforting!! Kim's door is always open to chat anytime we want. Tabitha is great with activities and each person that cooks, cleans and assist on a daily basis are wonderful!! Our family is so thankful for everything Whitehall does for mom and our family!!

My mother-in-law and father-in-law both lived at Whitehall until his passing in 2023. My mother-in-law continued to live there until December 2024. She now lives at Grand South which is a major improvement over Whitehall. The food is much better at Grand South and the entire staff and administration are friendlier and more helpful than at Whitehall.

My Mom has been a resident of Whitehall Assisted Living for over 3 years. The administration and staff have always provided excellent care for her during this time. The staff is very polite, courteous, attentive, and skilled in their responsibilities. Whitehall staff provide a variety of ways to exercise, stay cognitively involved, associate together and take care of the residents general well-being. There are at least a couple of planned actives each day – my Mom’s personal favorite activity is Bingo which they have a few days each week! The exercise helps her to keep moving with her arthritis. The residents select a restaurant every month for a special day to go out together for lunch. There is also a shopping day every month where the residents can purchase for their needs or buy for others. Prior to most holidays, there is a well-planned event for the residents’ families to attend. The door to the administrator’s office is always open for the residents and their sponsor/family to discuss any concerns. Any issues are quickly and fairly resolved. The staff and owners are very dedicated and caring all residents. You will not find more delicious food anywhere than Whitehall! My Mom has gotten more selective as she has gotten older, but she usually always loves the food there, mostly made from scratch. They do a much better job at pleasing her discriminating tastes than I do. There are 2 buildings are Whitehall and each building has availability for 16 residents – the perfect size for closeness but not too large to be overwhelming, as one ages. The size of Whitehall makes the residents feel like family to one other. Each resident has a lovely Living Room, Bedroom and Private Bath with walk-in shower. The entire building is warm, gorgeous, and well-maintained. The grounds, landscaping, flowers are immaculate. I love that Whitehall is a family-owned home for my Mom and not one owned by a corporation as many are becoming. The owners are often on property and at events, which provides a closeness, and they truly treat the residents like family. If you are looking for an Assisted Living for yourself or your family member, I do not think you would find a better place than Whitehall.
