Moving a loved one is always a bit of a nail-biter, but Whittier Glen made the transition incredibly smooth. From the first tour to the actual move-in day, the administration was professional, organized, and genuinely patient with all our questions. What really stood out was how the staff went out of their way to make my grandma welcome and at home immediately. They didn't just drop off the keys, they introduced us to the neighbors and made sure the room was spotless and ready. Seeing them settle in so quickly has given our family such peace of mind. We had a family member here for a few months, and the experience was unacceptable. The staff is not properly trained to provide basic elderly care, and the facility itself was filthy. There were bed bugs, which is completely inexcusable for an assisted living facility. Our family member also experienced colorism, adding to the lack of dignity and respect shown to residents. Management needs to seriously reevaluate their standards. Elderly people deserve clean, safe environments and humane treatment. I strongly do not recommend this place.

I was glad that I had an opportunity to tour this place. My first impression was that it was welcoming. I really liked the balcony next to their dining and recreation area because it offers their residents the view of the surrounding area. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly. What excited me the most was that the residents were participating the activities the staff provided for them. My tour helped me gain a deeper understanding about assisted living.
