Don’t waste your money moving any family into this facility! My aunt got moved in and all the residents were very rude at first the staff seemed great then all the good staff disappeared another new owner who had no idea what was going on in the facility. Messing with a persons medication, refusing certain treatments, manipulating and coaching residents that have memory issues not to move so they don’t lose money, no night nurses, pretty bad when we had to hear from my aunt that she fell multiple times without hearing it from her nurses first! Oh wait because they weren’t present and had the audacity to ask her how she ended up on the floor once she was able to get them to notice she needed help! Discriminating and name calling from residents and staff on top of the directors telling her sister her power of attorney didn’t mean squat to her sisters needs and safety! Got to the point where the facility tried to deny us moving my aunt which then escalated to us having to say we would get the police involved then they magically didn’t wanna fight with us anymore to move her! Residents take advantage of other residents and manipulate and meddle in other peoples lives! Please don’t send anyone you care about here!!!!

Updating to address the response. If you read the reply it tells you everything you need to know about how they handle complaints. They fail to address the negative aspects that concerned my FIL's care and instead focus on the exaggerated reaction from their Concierge. I did contact the Facility Director; Jason; as did my husband. Both of us addressed directly with him that we were unhappy with the staff and handling of my FIL's care. In both conversations he made excused and half-hearted apologies. I have no fear in finally speaking out about these true and accurate experiences with this facility. I even went so far as to ask if there were camera's in the lobby to catch what transpired and was advised there were not. How convenient. I had to wait until my FIL was no longer a resident for fear of retaliation, so we're behind in providing this review but out of necessity. I was able to witness firsthand the following. 1) Late at night when the residents were supposed to be sleeping, staff were hanging out together upstairs in a common area for the residents. It took 20 minutes for a staff member to respond to a call, despite being less that 100 yards down the hallway, on the same floor. 2) Several staff manipulated the retelling of an incident with me, believing I was an employee with a livery service. Only after it was discovered that I was a family member did Admin consider that their concierge may have exaggerated to her benefit. 3) The Hoyer Lift that was paid for and assigned to my FIL would be taken out of his room and used on other residents without consent. 4) On several occasions the diapers and wipes that we supplied and were in my FIL's room would disappear. Lastly, my FIL also had an aid provided from another service, unassociated with the facility, who told the family that the staff of the facility repeatedly asked them to assist with other residents. Additional, they stated that when they were there as his companion the staff would refuse to care for my FIL, leaving his care to her when she was not paid, assigned, or responsible for it. Now, I know that there will never be a perfect facility and that everyone will have a different experience. I just caution that if it happened to us, it can happen to anyone.

Any organization is only as good as it's people, and the people at Poland Village Assisted Living are difference makers. While visiting- that is crystal clear, based upon the overall cleanliness of the facility, and level of engagement of the residents. There's an abundance of stimulating activities; from games, to trips, to on site celebrations and worship, all designed to enrich the resident's and their families' experience. Poland Village Assisted Living has become our Dad's home.
