Anne was very personable and professional. Had all my questions answered before I even had a chance to ask them. Each employee said good morning to me and introduced them selves as I took a tour. Upon departure I even got some cookies to go. Nice touch Willow Springs!!! Melanie Blohm

Willow Springs staff are caring, knowledgeable, and easily accessible. I've visited many facilities in the area, and in my opinion, Willow Springs is by far the best. I am writing this review as a family member of a current resident. I am also a registered nurse who has cared for many dementia patients, including my own mother for several years. It takes special people to keep those with dementia happy, healthy, and engaged in activities. They do this very well, and we can't thank them enough.

The care staff at Willow Springs has saved my life. My mother-in-law was moved in to Willow Springs two years ago after a long stint in a rehab hospital in Southern California, for a broken hip and arm, following a fall. The staff had her up and walking, toileting and eating in the dining room within days. The rehab hospital had not been able to achieve that in months. The nurses and caregivers have been super supportive of our unique situation. Late last year my father-in-law was able to join her as he was 100 yrs old and going on hospice for age related decline. This allowed them to spend his final days with her. There are two “fancier” facilities in town but neither of them actually have a nurse on duty in the middle of the night. I’ve visited at all hours, even at 2:30 in the morning and there is always someone looking out for the residents. The staff feel more like extended family! There are wonderful family activities for the extended family, as well as plenty of daily activities for the residents. Individualized to the residents unique abilities and interests. This is a very sad disease and it’s ever changing, the staff keep up with the necessary modifications as it progresses.

If you’re reading this, you’re probably very aware that caring for someone living with dementia is not an easy or predictable path. Having a compassionate team of people who understand dementia and its manifestations is invaluable. Our family found a devoted, experienced team at Willow Springs. We never thought we’d even consider having my mother live away from our home. However, we reached a point where we could no longer keep her safe. We needed help. Thankfully, we now have an entire facility of dedicated people who love and care for my mother as much as we do. It feels like our little family expanded more than we knew it could. Despite having dementia, my mother is still a vibrant person with awareness and senses. Willow Springs understands this and offers a variety of experiences to engage her and her fellow residents. Local musicians regularly visit and perform. There are lovely, safe outdoor areas planted with fragrant trees and flowers. There are snacks aplenty! Most importantly, my mother is treated gently with both kindness and respect. As the family of a Willow Springs resident, we always feel welcome. We are involved in the decisions about my mother’s care. We’ve found the team to be flexible and open to all manner of creative solutions, no matter how perplexing the situation. We are also included in activities and events, many of which have led to unexpected moments of fun and joy. Yes, there can be fun and joy while living with dementia! For the greater community, Willow Springs generously offers a caregiver support group. It’s open to anyone who cares for a loved one experiencing dementia. To us, that speaks volumes about this facility, its people, and its lived values. If your family - like ours - is working through how to live with dementia and what care can look like, a visit to Willow Springs is highly recommended.

A few years ago as we looked into placing my mother into a care facility and we picked Willow Springs which turned out to a perfect fit and a great decision. The staff and nurses at the facility are amazing. They all loved on my mom and made us feel as family. Even in the final days of my mom they showed her respect and loved on her as if she was their own family, and for our experience I can not say enough good things about Willow Springs.
