Updated Assisted Living Facility that’s well established in the community with long-tenured staff. I was impressed with the staff. As Amanda gave me a tour, I was able witness the interaction of staff members with the residents. The way they spoke with the residents was very respectful, helpful, and compassionate. Many staff members have been here a long time, and that stability really benefits the residents—they’re cared for by people who truly know and understand them.

My father and most of his floor in the memory unit got covid last October. First of all, we were never notified that my dad had covid. We only found out when we came to visit and there was a note posted on the front door. Over the next 2 weeks following testing positive for covid, when we came to visit, my dad was very tired but we were told he was eating and drinking just fine. I thought given his age of 84 and having significant dementia, being tired for a period after having covid was somewhat normal... as long as he was eating and staying hydrated. His overall physical health was excellent, in that he didn't have any issues with blood sugar, blood pressure, cancer, etc. He had just become thin and a bit frail because of age... however, always had a great appetite and always ate meals. On October 16th they called me at 8:00 a.m. to say they were sending him to the hospital. They said he had "blown pupils" and "high blood pressure." This was a Sunday morning. When we arrived at the hospital, we were told my dad was in acute kidney failure, had rhabdomyolysis (muscle death), and a UTI bordering on sepsis. He was SEVERELY dehydrated and malnourished. Hallucinating, moaning, and altogether dying in front of our eyes. He passed in hospice on October 26th. I blame the Wilson House for not telling us about him having covid, for lying to us about his intake of fluids and food, and for his overall neglect. They typically only had one med tech on staff for the entire floor and not enough aids to watch the residents. When we called Wilson to tell them my dad had died, they acted very surprised. When we came to clean out his room, many things were missing including his quilt and glasses, neither of which were ever found and returned to us despite repeated calls. Donna, the director of the facility, rarely comes out of her office and literally seems to do nothing... I never saw her interact with the staff in the memory care unit and most of them seemed quite unhappy, albeit nice enough. My mom could no longer take care of my dad and Wilson House was our only affordable option. My dad died too early because of their lack of care, staffing, and communication.

Clothes and shoes stolen all the time. Have bought shoes weekly. Replaced combs constantly. Always has different residents clothes in his room. Residents in memory care walk in room and use the bathroom in private room several times a day, residents take things and snacks out of his room. Patients Walk in at all times whether he’s sleeping or not. Won’t take food to him if he doesn’t go down to the dining room to eat. Does get 3 snacks and drink per day but other often stolen. Have not been happy with care.

I visited this place while looking for a memory care facility for a loved one, but the woman who was manning the fort that day was cold, unhelpful and not willing to move from her desk. This was the last place we visited. At every other place, the staff was friendly and seemingly going out of their way to be helpful -- even making referrals. The reason this place has so many empty beds probably starts at in-take. The location was perfect, but the experience gave me an eerie feeling that I couldn't shake. I remembered the adage: the anointing flows from the top. If the mgmt staff is cold and unhelpful so goes the whole facility.

a year ago this place had roaches! a year later it has roaches.. How can you expose your loved ones and family to dirty bugs as these? This issue needs to be reported to housing authority. It's disgusting.
