I did not get the PT/OT time I was supposed to, in order to help me heal. Most meals were inedible, and served cold. The veggies were mush, most things covered in gravy, and unhealthy choices. The staff were very moody, probably because they were understaffed. You never knew when they would answer the bell if you rang it. My husband timed it once at 25 minutes, and that’s only because he went to find them. They were attending another patient, but the bell could have been for someone in a life or death situation. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I had to place my disabled brother in Windward gardens temporarily to address some health concerns. He was neglected every single day. He would push his button for help and nobody would come. I would walk in his room and he would be covered in urine and you couldn't find a single staff member around. One time I showed up and he had bruises all over his face. He said he had fallen and nobody had come back to pick him up. I found a pill on his floor and I went to meet with the nurse about it letting her know there had been a med-error. Her response was, I watched him take his meds. I had to call them in four times to adult protective services in 5 weeks. They never called me to discuss any issues. I would email them constantly about the neglect and abuse. My brother was suffering under their care. He was in more danger in their facility in 24-hour care than he was alone in his own home. I don't know how this place is still open. If you are a patient that cannot advocate for yourself. You will most likely suffer there. I come from a nursing home industry so what I saw at Windward gardens was the worst things I've ever seen in my career. We had to send our own staff in there every single day for 5 hours so that he would have a meal and be cleaned. The food is horrible. The laundry service is horrible. My brother completely ran out of clean clothes every few days and then they lost his clothes and I had to buy him new clothes. The only reason I kept him there was because I was trying to get his seizures under control so he could come back home. At that time. A doctor at Windward garden ordered several medications that weren't necessary. The doctors put my brother in danger as well. Please do not put anyone you love in this facility

I like the photo I d and temperature taking prior to entrance. Which direction rooms starting with 101 VS the single digit Are not really posted that well. There was no receptionist, but it's also the weekend. Everything seemed very clean and staff was very helpful.

I was sent to Windward Gardens back in March for rehab after a very difficult and dangerous surgery on my spinal cord. The staff at Windward Gardens was over the top on quality of care, professionalism, empathy, respect, and love. The maintenance crew was so hardworking and kind. The food was great with good sized portions. I would recommend this place giving it a 15 out of 10 rating!!! I also went back today to visit a friend and every thing and everyone is still a 15 out of 10 rating in my book! I would not be doing so good today, except for a care I received there!! Thank you, Windward Gardens!
