This place is wonderful. My aunt has been very happy here. The staff are helpful and kind. I moved an elderly relative here after a terrible experience with another facility in Mass. This has been wonderful. The one negative I have is things I buy for her often go missing. I have been there a few times when another dementia patient came in her room and took something. Obviously I am sure it goes with the memory issues in a community setting. I just recommend not buying things that are very expensive while living there, or bringing things that one would hate to lose. This place has been great overall. I would recommend it if looking for a memory care facility.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Memory Care part of Waterville Woodlands. All of the staff have always been very good with my mom. The only downside is they are frequently understaffed and the place could use an update cosmetically but that has nothing to do with the care they give. The staff that do work there are truly amazing given all they put up with. Working day in and day out with people with various stages of dementia is challenging to say the least! I appreciate that I can just pop in whenever, unannounced to check on my LO. Every time I have, the staff are always busy, interacting with residences. I think they are doing a great job!
Look in the Mirror
I If could give this facility less than one star I would. They started out great putting on the façade of taking good care of my mother until the accidents begin to happen and all the falls, then stitches to the head, the multiple x-rays and CAT scans or MRIs the swollen feet and bruised feet. Staff also stole valuable jewelry from my mother. The negligence it’s prevalent and they are apathetic to family members concerns and they never return phone calls my mothers medical provider can’t even get through and I have received complaint after complaint from the doctors office about that very thing. This place might look clean and nice from an outsiders view but please be very very careful who you trust your loved one with you think you’re going to get amazing care because they have such a great reputation in the community and then your let down and disappointed. And to top it all off they decided to be petty and steal the power cord to her television after they banned me from coming on the property in order to collect her things. This facility is 100% the worst facility to work with staff robbed my mother blind stole her 3 carat sapphire engagement ring surrounded by diamonds and the baby ring she was given at birth along with some other precious pieces of jewelry probably totaling around $10,000 worth of jewelry. And here’s the problem The owners of the facility gets so much money from the cost of living expenses these elderly people are forced to pay to live there that they can hire a lawyer and steam roll you. They are so desperate for workers that they’re willing to hire thieves they’re just looking to pack a bodies in for staff they don’t care about the quality of person they hire. This place robbed my mother and injured her regularly don’t be fooled by this place please please heed my warning. This post has been up for several years but I just updated it recently

Woodlands Senior Living of Waterville is made up of 3 communities...The residents consist of individuals that require different levels of care, assistance or simply a home where someone is there if need be. Unfortunately not all follows suit. Whether it be that proper accommodations for people of the older population is not available etc...There seems to be an issue when it comes to its representation of acceptability .There are many staff though understaffed that are committed, caring focused ,knowledgeable & competent. Many are overworked. Several unhealthy conditions throughout the interior exist. Unfortunately there are also those staffed that are lacking knowledge, are incompetent lazy and basically lack the compassion & understanding.. People being the residents are scattered throughout 3 communities often not in a community that meets the individuals needs. Some residents living within the "Retirement Community" are in need of an "Assisted Care Community" & @ times a "Memory Community". People living within the " Retirement Community" are paying privately (Out of their own pockets or families) despite the level of care they truly require. There are many communities scattered throughout the state of Maine that are under the same private ownership... Many of the people that work within these communities assisting residents within are very compassionate, caring, competent & focused. Unfortunately their hands are tied due to whether be to greed, ownership, politics ,adminstratton ( which is governed from that mentioned prior)..I don't know. What I do know is that Every Individual Deserves Better...

Park Residences is a lovely place. I am impressed with the warm, inviting feeling one has just walking through the front door. But more importantly, the staff is competent and caring. It is a comfort to know our loved one is safe, secure, well cared for and very happy there.
