Abe's Garden/Park Manor Apartments

I wish I could say this was a great place. Unfortunately, it was a place more focused on imagery than care. My mother stayed at Abe's from 2018 to 2020. There were absolutely wonderful people that worked at Abe's during my mom's stay. I am forever grateful to them. However, my mother was forced into a psych ward for 2 weeks to be heavily medicated while living at Abe's. There were some great staff, but many of the care givers didn't pay attention to residents unless they were being watched. I saw residents hand being smashed in a wheelchair on more than one occasion because the staff was more engaged in conversation than care. There is also a major cultural difference, where most residents are wealthier white people and the care givers are black. Not a problem except many need to be trained and held accountable on how to care for their residents appropriately and there was a couple of staff that were racist. My mom had some deep bruises that could not be explained. She was diabetic and was constantly given sugar. I spent my entire inheritance paying to keep my mom there. I definitely thought she would have had better care.

My mom has been living at Abe’s Garden for almost three years. She is loved on and well cared for. Her nails get painted, she goes for lots of walks outside in a beautiful courtyard, and they love on my mom with love and respect. They have a wide variety of services and opportunities for engagement based on what my mom needs. The team stays in regular communication with me about my mom and they are always open to feedback. I visit my mom at all times of the day and no matter what time I am there the staff welcome me with open arms. This is a special place that makes the extra effort.

Abe's Garden provides a best in class environment for seniors including inspiring memory care support. Staff members are consistently friendly, supportive and caring. Abe's has been a real blessing for our family - we are so thankful for their great work.

Abe's Garden is such an amazing community and offers something for everyone! The staff is so caring and are angels to those who attend the programs and live in the community. It is such a thoughtful place for those with dementia. They really are a saving grace and provide all kinds of support for families and caregivers. I'm not sure what I would've done without them!

My 89 yr young mother lives there. It is spotless and the open areas are kept 100%. You feel like your in your own home. Staff is acceptional and the food is awesome. The chef def can cook and prepare. His food is great!! The dining room is like fine dining with table cloth service and made to order preparations. Only complaint is the Dining service needs training. Apts are spacious and very well maintained. Those that live there are wonderful people. We are so pleased to see how friendly people are. Great for my Mom. Activities daily including special events throughout Nashville. They offer various health care services so the attention my Mom receives is wonderful. A very caring staff.If you're looking for a place that offers Senior Living with your own full apts, Assisted Living, as well as a beautiful living facility for dementia and Alzheimer's. Come take a tour.... Me I give it 99.8. Nobody's perfect! Lol 😏
