I couldn’t disagree more with the review I just read on Anam. My wife has been a resident there for the past 3 1/2 years. Every employee there has treated her as if she was their relative. She is shown so much love, I can’t even begin to describe how that has affected my whole family. There is a fenced in patio area for the residents to sit, and frequently I sit there with my wife and other residents playing and singing songs. I am not sure what the other person expected, but as a person who frequently gets in other care facilities to play music, I have not experienced any as good as Anam! Jim Bladel

Anam was a beautiful place for my mom to live. She developed dementia at too young of an age, so transitioning to memory care was hard on everyone. The staff made it easier for all of us, including my mom. Their approach to individualized care and creating a real community, honors each resident. From celebrating holidays, birthdays, garden parties to simple gatherings on the secure outdoor patios, my mom found daily joy. Above all, the staff ensured my mom had a healthy quality of life and never felt isolated or alone. We are grateful every day for her care and love seeing how the Anam community lifts up their residents and their families.

Anam Care was exactly the right place for my dear mother-in-law. After very diligently investigating all options, we chose Anam Care. It is a daunting task attempting to find the exact right conditions for our loved one. All of our anxieties were put to rest when we discovered the attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, and comfortable conditions that are offered at Anam Care. The inviting environment made us feel so welcomed as we made our daily visits. My sweet mother-in-law passed with the dignity that she deserved and is remembered every year in Anam Care's garden memorial service. There just isn't a better place!!!!

I was referred to Anam Care while struggling to find quality care for my Mom who had Dementia. We had scoured Chicagoland without success for the very specialized care she needed (she wasn’t the easiest patient). Rockford wouldn’t originally have been on my radar but after speaking to Carol (who truly listened and understood our challenges) and then touring the Home, I knew Anam Care was 100% worth the drive . The staff at Anam had taken such great care of Mom, where other Care facilities just didnt. The staff I have had the blessing of meeting are absolutely the most sincere, caring, loving and respectful people who care for their residents with such dignity. The staff works together like a family and really work hard. Mom was given the dignity she deserved—was toileted frequently so that she was able to maintain a better quality of life—-not relegated to being bedridden and incontinent. The meals are good and the activities are great—live music, trivia, etc, which keeps the folks out and active in community, not parked, sitting alone in their rooms. I felt relief for the first time in a long time once Mom had moved in. I highly recommend Anam Care—-it is an amazing place. It brought us peace during a very difficult time.
