NORTHBRIDGE FARMINGTON ASSISTED LIVING

My mom has lived in the Memory Care unit for 2+ years. I would prefer to have her in my own home but since that is not possible this facility is a good alternative. A nurse is on site 24/7. Aids keep her clean and out of her apartment from breakfast until after dinner. The activities program is very good. Although my mom does not participate in everything, she is always with other people and residents. Staff are primarily professional and kind. My mom has a lovely apartment and the facility is clean. An ownership change occurred in 2025. Management and most aids appear focused on continuous improvement. Since 2023 there has been significant staff turnover and staff shortages at times. My understanding is that is not uncommon. The onsite hair dresser and physical/occupational/speech therapy services are convenient and well managed.

I just want to give a shout out to memory care unit at Riverbend at Farmington. They are all so caring and loving to all the residents. They put on a family dinner every month. Last night we had h'orvders, ribroast, baked stuffed shrimp. They had entertainment and even Santa. It was lovely dinner everyone enjoyed a great evening.

I along with my husband and our piano player perform once a month at Riverbend. The joy this brings to us and the residents is amazing. Alison Murphy is right there with the residents making sure everyone is settled and ready to enjoy our performance. Riverbend is such a warm, lovely place. I have spoken to many of the residents and they tell me how happy they are living at Riverbend. Looking out into the audience and seeing them clapping their hands and singing along with us is heartwarming. Lynn R Knapp

Thank you to the culinary staff and allowing our large family to gather in the pub on the third floor for various occasions honoring our father. Dad appreciates all of us coming to him which lessens his travel experience since his mobility is decreasing. When contacted at least two weeks prior to the event and working with the culinary staff, they will set up all the tables, linens, and place settings for our future family gathering. A menu is also offered however, we prefer bringing in our homemade Italian food for family celebrations. After the Gathering the culinary staff returns and does the majority of the cleanup. This definitely allows us time to enjoy our visit with our father.

I've read an extremely long negative review recently . Mine is quite the opposite. My husband moved into Anthology now Riverbend when they were transitioning ownership. Despite the obvious turmoil of staff turnover, operational changes, etc the change went smoothly and to Northridge's credit for the better. Riverbend is a well run residence. Memory Care is clean, well run and the residents are , most importantly, well cared for. Well done, Northridge. Keep up the good work!
