ARBOR TERRACE OF ATHENS

My in laws were looking for transition of care. We toured Arbor Terrace Athens. Alice & Dyana are so caring and welcoming. We found this facility to be clean, comfortable, peaceful, the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. My in laws chose another place to move too ( independent living ) but our family would have been pleased and at ease with the decision if they chose Arbor Terrace Athens instead.

Arbor Terrace has great people who help to make the issue of caring for a loved one with dementia/Alzheimer’s a little easier. They keep me informed as things change and they let me know when I need to be involved. I can trust them with my Mom’s care.

In April 2025 we moved Mom from another local assisted living facility to Arbor Terrace for their 2-tier memory care program. The “Bridges” staff fosters friendships among the residents who encourage mom to participate in games and crafts and to join them in other special activities. Mom’s favorite was a recent tea party in which residents discussed their family treasures. Keisha, the memory care director, responds to Mom’s blue moods in a soothing manner and has educated our family on how to respond to her confusion. The entire staff – administration, resident care, front desk, activity coordinator, housekeeping/maintenance, dining, etc. – work together in a manner that brings a sense of community that I have not observed in other facilities that I have visited.

I have been visiting Arbor Terrace Athens for approximately 10 years as one of their vendors. I have only observed great care for their residents. Staff is always professional and the community is always clean. I would recommend this community for anyone is who looking for an assisted living within the Athens area.

My sister and I recently took our mother to visit Arbor Terrace as a possibility for placing our mother. Staff were professional, engaging and knowledgeable. There was a real sense of community among the residents and staff. My sister and I would be very comfortable placing our mother in this retirement home when she is ready for it.
