Artis Senior Living of Branford is a beautiful, well thought out and designed facility. Artis offers a sense of community to all residents and their family and friends. Our family truly appreciated the passion and love shown by Helen and the entire Recreation Department at Artis. Their dedication to the residents and their families was always on display and will never be forgotten. The difference in my sister from her previous placement is night and day. She is more calm, at peace and nothing but smiles. From the initial evaluation to the move in process, it was professional, smooth, and we felt very supported. The staff here take an interest in the people that we did not see at the previous place. We are very happy and grateful to all of the staff here.

My mother-in-law has been living at Artis over the past year. I've been moved by the warmth and acceptance of those who are caring for her. Navigating the pathway when a family member is living with dementia is rocky and full of gaps. I've been especially appreciative of the creativity, energy, and positive attitude of Helen McCarthy. Her daily program content, brought to life by so many Artis team members, is inspiring. Their audience can be more than tough to engage but their commitment makes all of the difference. In a nutshell, the staff at Artis have smoothed the rockiness, and helped us to know better how to love and celebrate Nana.

My mother has been at Artis for a little over a year. From the moment we toured the staffs compassion and genuine care was evident. The facility has a home like feel and is clean and bright. The residents are kept busy with a variety of projects, entertainment, and social events. As a family, we couldn’t be happier with the care my mother receives at Artis.

I have been visiting Artis once a week for almost a year now. My therapy dog Jackson and I love our time there. The clients are well taken care of and seem very happy. Helen McCarthy is in charge of activities and she definitely keeps everyone hopping! From physical activities like balloon volleyball and parachute to memory games and learning activities like a new state every week! The holiday celebrations are so much fun and there are personal birthday and anniversary parties! We will keep volunteering here for a long time.
