ARTIS SENIOR LIVING OF SOUTH HILLS

Artis of South Hills has been the best decision made by her family for my Aunt. ALL of the staff are kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful of ALL residents. The facility is focused around safety, and all activities are geared towards dementia patients. The food is tasty and appealing. The biggest difference between Artis of South Hills and other facilities is the management, Dan, Liz, Debbe, Steve, Mike, Chrissy, and Leland, (if I forgot one I will edit my post) They are visible and working managers. They are NOT in their office all day. The residents are up and out of their rooms enjoying the many dementia based activities Artis offers. They take their time and get to know your loved one and what is important to them and what they enjoy and they make it a part of each day. Upon entering the facility I am greeted by Valeria. She is a real gem. She makes you feel welcome and at home and can answer any questions you have. There are other ladies who work the front entrance but because of the time of day I visit I see Valeria. I do have to add Lorelei, dear sweet lady. Helpful, knowledgeable and most important kind to all and the residents. These ladies at the reception desk hold the building together. They can multi task like no other. Superstars!!! Valeria and Lorelei are office angels. 😇 Thank you Artis of South Hills for being an outstanding facility.

Artis of South Hills has been a wonderful place for my mom. The staff has been extremely responsive and helpful in making this transition a little easier for our family these first few weeks. I can tell they genuinely care about my mom and want to make her feel comfortable. Dan, Liz, Debbie, Mike, Stephen, Sherrie, Jessica, I could go on and on about the extra effort they put in every day. It was not an easy decision for us to move mom out of her home, but I know that she is well cared for here. I highly recommend Artis is you are looking for somewhere to place your loved one that doesn’t give a “nursing home” feel and provides compassionate care.

Thank God for Artis! This place is a perfect fit for my Mom who has dementia. Artis has four neighborhoods which makes life more simple and navigable for Mom. She loves her room which we call her apartment. She gets her hair done and nails done right on the premises! The staff is wonderful and caring. Sher and Bri keep my Mom busy with all their activities and trips out in the community. They also bring in the best entertainment!!! Valeria, Karen and Lorelei, are the receptionists who are awesome and helpful with any issues or questions we have. We take Mom out to see her great grand kids basketball games, the movies, pool, restaurants, and sometimes just to the grocery store. I highly recommend Artis for a loved one suffering from dementia. Mom is living her best life.

Artis of South Hills has the kindest, most professional and compassionate people working there and taking care of our mother. Liz, Debbie & Dan went above and beyond to make mom’s placement as smooth as possible last month. They kept the communication high, reassuring us that she was happy and acclimating well, and told us to call at any time, even after hours. The facility is modern, well-kept and smells wonderful; she seems to enjoy the food and eats well! So far, this has been an excellent experience and mom has been well taken care of. Her Care Partner somehow gets her to shower twice a week, something we had NO luck doing! We are excited to enjoy the beautifully landscaped walk areas with her that Mike lovingly maintains. We cannot imagine a better memory care facility in all of Pittsburgh! Thank you all for your kindness and effort!

My mother has been living at Artis Senior Living in the South Hills for over six months now, and I am truly grateful for the care and support she receives. She is thriving in an environment where the staff not only understand her needs but also communicate with her in a way that makes her feel valued and respected. In particular, Liz has been an incredible help to us as we navigated these first challenging months. Her guidance and kindness have made all the difference during this transition. My mother often speaks about how kind the staff are, and how much she appreciates the care they provide—not just to her, but to all the residents. Caring for someone with dementia truly takes a village, and I deeply appreciate everyone at Artis for being part of that village for my mother. Their dedication and compassion mean the world to us.
