ASBURY CHANDLER ESTATE

I feel that my parents were not taken care of adequately due to understaffing. The staff members who did care for my parents were very caring. I believe there should be less management and more CNA care. The few staff members on duty each day are not enough to provide proper care for the number of residents. I have a list of my parents' belongings that are missing, and I believe that the management is aware of these missing items. We have reached out about missing items. The items were not found. You can't fix the care my father endured. My fathers room was to small and not handicapped, for a person who is blind, to get around.

Godsend! After my mother passed I needed to find a place for my dad where he could socialize without feeling like he went to a retirement home. Chandler has lovely little apartments and lots of activities for those who want to participate. I can’t say enough about the staff, they treat him so well and my family and I are so grateful. The Executive Director (Tina) is amazing, she was so flexible with us when my dad was recovering from an accident prior to moving in. She checked on him frequently. Everyone from the office staff, cooks and maintenance has treated my dad so well. I could cry knowing he isn’t alone while I’m away. He can’t wait till the garden club starts in the spring! And when the time comes where he needs more care, moving into the assisted living building will be a good option where he already knows everyone. Finally, my father has been getting his meals daily from the kitchen so he doesn’t have to cook and he really loves the food. This was the best decision we could have ever made for my dad!

When it was obvious my father needed more care than what my mother could handle, we had to find a personal care home quick. Asbury Chandler Estate answered that call! They were able to take him immediately and the transition was wonderfully smooth. The staff treated him so respectfully and gave him the attention he needed. Tina was very hands on and made herself available for any questions we had, which surprised me because you tend to not get that from an Executive Director. Unfortunately, my father eventually needed to go to another facility as his disease progressed and needed a higher level of care. The new place does not hold a candle even close to the warmth and caring that Asbury Chandler Estates gives every day.

I went to visit my grandma today and I have never seen her so happy! The staff had turned the tv to her favorite story that she has watched ever since I was little and she just sat their rocking away with a smile on her face. She loves socializing with the other residents and the staff treat them like family. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good place for their loved one to be looked after and want the peace of mind that they are being treated well.

Absolutely love the staff, my mother is being well taken care of and has taken a liking to Jackie. She loves when she comes around for “snack time.” I have a great pleasure of meeting this young lady and I can see why mother has taken a liking to her. So happy I found such a wonderful facility for my mother. highly recommend.
