This is an unprofessional, dirty and unorganized facility. There’s been absolutely nothing put in place to mitigate the risk of elopement after an elopement led to the freezing death of a resident a couple years ago. If you care at all about the safety and well-being of your loved one, do not entrust their care here.

The care and the love that was given to my mother during her fight with dementia was absolutely wonderful. I can never say enough good things how the staff cared for her during her fight. I am eternally grateful for them!! God bless each and every one of them!!

August 2024 Lynn Leathers The day we moved Dad in to Aspencreek he came in, sat down, and immediately told me that he felt comfortable. He has been there for over 2 months and he still tells me how comfortable he is there. I enjoy visiting him. The staff are fun, attentive and very helpful. I don't worry about him getting the care he needs at all. We have had no problems there. The food is great! Dad likes sitting out on the patio and engaging with the staff. It is a nice, clean, cozy, home-like environment

Aspen Creek in Troy Illinois provides exceptional care in a small, home-like environment. The staff is incredibly caring, patient, and kind, treating residents like family. They are well-trained in handling the challenges of dementia and Alzheimer's, ensuring that residents receive the best possible care. Additionally, the facility is welcoming of visitors at all hours, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for both residents and their loved ones. Overall, this facility offers top-notch care and support for individuals living with memory impairments. They have treated my mom with great one on one care and attention providing me tremendous stress relief knowing she is in good hands at all times!

There is no other facility in this area equal to the love and care my husband experienced while at Aspen Creek. He passed away last month and I am so grateful that the caregivers and nurses at Aspen Creek were the ones who cared for him in his final days. I truly feel they loved him! He had been a resident in two other "fancier" facilities and I never felt he got the proper attention and care. In fact, I have found that it is a practice for some of these facilities to send their dementia patients to a Behavioral Health unit at Gateway Regional if they are not behaving, and then not take them back. Aspen Creek does not do that. They understand the difficulties and challenges of an Alzheimer's/dementia patient and they continue to treat them with the utmost care and respect. I will be forever grateful to them for taking my husband when no one else would. I highly recommend Aspen Creek!
