ATRIA DARIEN

Many thanks to Monica Lynn and all of the staff at Atria, who have been so welcoming and caring. After four months our mom has settled in and is very much enjoying living at Atria.

We are thrilled with Darien Atria and how they have welcomed mom into the community. The help cleaning and setting up the apartment, including hanging tons of pictures, was fantastic. They are extremely responsive to issues and find a way to get to yes. There always seems to be something going on to keep everyone active. The staff is terrific in that they genuinely care about their residents and their broader families. This move has been a great transition for mom. We should have done it much sooner!

We LOVE Atria Darien but more importantly so does mom! Mom entered the Atria Darien community in 2016 and this month she is turning 100 years old! Mom was hesitant at first moving to Atria Darien but she quickly made friends as everyone is so welcoming and inclusive. The diverse daily activities and events kept her busy, engaged and helped her quickly acclimate to her new community. One of mom’s top criteria in selecting a senior living community was that had good food. Atria Darien quickly checked that box as the meals are outstanding; not just at special occasions but every day. The menu is very diverse and healthy and the food quality is like that a of great restaurant. In fact, our entire family looks forward to special occasions at Atria Darien as the Atria team does a phenomenal job with an expansive selection of wonderful food and creating a festive environment. For us, knowing mom is happy makes us happy but it is the amazing caring staff that ensures she is safe and comfortable that make Atria Darien so great. From the friendly hello at the door to the excellent restaurant experience we have been very pleased. Walking the halls will always get a “hi, how are you?” and a smile from any of the staff you come across. There are too many wonderful team members to name. Atria Darien is a special place. We are very glad we were lucky enough to find it for mom.

We recently moved my grandmother into Atria and the whole team there has gone above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and welcomed. Michelle and Kate are truly the best. This is the first time my grandmother has lived alone and they were able to ease her nerves and help her make great new friends with other residents. Although, I truly think it's the staff that helped ensure a smooth transition for her, she raves about the food and how beautiful it is there. So overall, we couldn't be happier and want to thank the whole Atria team for welcoming and supporting my grandmother.

Atria Darien has been an excellent choice for my father. Initially reluctant, he did a trial for two months, and after 6 weeks, he decided to make it his home. Entering senior living is a challenging transition for anyone to make, but the staff at Atria made it as easy and smooth as it could be. They were so friendly and welcoming right from the start, and have been attentive and responsive as we’ve navigated the transition. Michele, Kate and Amanda have all be so helpful in smoothing the way for us. Additionally, the food is excellent (my father agrees!) and the activities are plentiful and engaging. From the directors, to the dining room staff, to the wellness center, everyone is on board looking out for the residents’ best interests. I would confidently recommend Atria Darien to others considering senior living.
