They don't answer the phone.

As long as your family member doesn't cause any issues and they do not have to give any special care to them, it is all good. They will look for a new location to move your loved one to if they don't want them there any longer! They do not seem to staff or monitor the residents well enough.

Mom has been in 4 different places, and The Atrium is the only one she has called “home.” She enjoys the frequent social activities, and she looks forward to being with the many new friends she has made. The staff treat her with respect and caring, and they welcome family members as part of The Atrium family. We couldn’t be happier with our decision for Mom to live there. The dietician plans nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, and Mom loves the food! The Atrium is a relatively small facility, which meets Mom’s needs perfectly. It is also more affordable than any of the other places Mom has lived or that we visited. Frankly, I don’t know how they do it, but we’re really glad they do. There are times when the staff are quite busy with the residents and are therefore unable to answer the phone, but someone has always replied to our phone messages as soon as they could. Personally, I appreciate a staff who put residents’ care above phone calls. I also appreciate the staff’s integrity and transparency. Is The Atrium the perfect place for everyone? I don’t know. But it is the perfect place for Mom, and it is the best-kept secret in Rockford. Thank you to everyone at The Atrium. We are grateful.
