Avery was the worst place you can possibly send your older family members. Absolutely neglect for my family member. This place should not even have a license. DO NOT GO HERE!

My Aunt just got here on 2/14/25 at approximately 8:30pm! I go visit today 2/15/25 No working TV, so much dried feces on the toilet, sink faucet leaking with a ring of rust, trash filled and yet 3 Jamaican workers sat at front desk staring at each other! Workers like that is why you get a honest review like this! If my family could afford to stay home to assist with my Aunts care WE WOULD but this is Temporary as God is our witness!!! Do better STAFF you would not like for ppl to treat you or your loved ones neglectful!!!!!!!

Dear Avery Heights Guardian Angels, I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the extraordinary care, kindness, and compassion you provided to my mom, Marilyn Dupuis, during her time on Station II. I am overwhelmed with appreciation for each of you who played a role in her care. Thank you Anna for going above and beyond to ensure my mom was as comfortable as possible. There are countless others: the dear CNA's and nurses, recreation staff and all those who touched my mom's life. In her final days, your unwavering support and attention made a world of difference. You treated her, not just as a patient, but as a cherished individual, and that truly meant the world to us. Your ability to connect with her and bring her comfort during such a challenging time is something I will never forget. The gentle way you spoke to her, the warm smiles you shared, and the genuine interest you showed in her well-being all contributed to making her feel loved and valued. Thank you for sharing the wonderful stories of my mom with us. Hearing about her life through your eyes brought back so many beautiful memories and helped us celebrate the incredible person she was. Your ability to recall those moments and share them with us created a sense of connection that was deeply comforting during our time of loss. I also want to express my gratitude for the hugs and kindness you offered to me over the last few days. It’s often the little things that leave the biggest impact, and your thoughtfulness provided a light in a dark time. As difficult as it is to lose a parent, your compassion and support helped ease the burden of that loss. You made a painful experience a little easier to bear, and for that, I am grateful. I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and love you pour into your work, often going above and beyond for your residents and their families. You are truly unsung heroes, and the impact you have on the lives of those you care for is immeasurable. I will always carry the memories of your kindness and the way you treated my mom with dignity and respect. Thank you once again for everything you did for my mom and our family. Your efforts have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and I will never forget the warmth and compassion you provided during such a difficult time. With deepest appreciation and warmest regards, Cherie Bochenko

An awful place for a loved one, to say the least!!! The nursing supervisor and social workers we've worked with are beyond horrible, this facility is totally money-based and don't care for the quality of life for loved ones. Staff turnover is high, we constantly have new case/social workers which have ridiculous workloads and everyone feels no need to communicate to immediate family about any changes in conditions to my moms health! Staff lie and hide their hands and show no real care for the quality of life for our family members. You can NEVER reach anyone, because they either don't answer phones there, or will hang up on you. I respectfully recommended no one to follow through putting their family or loved ones here, its evident you'll see a lack of compassion and quality care given, along with an unclean building, mold on the walls and clothes that always goes missing. There's times when I go visit, my mom is still laying in bed, having never got up due to shortage in staff, so she suffers by not being moved all day. Disappointing to see Avery Heights promote a false sense of hope for family and individuals all the while neglecting their needs! I hope this place is seen for what it is, and AGAIN, if you are thinking about placement for a family member, this place (rehab facility) will leave you with deep regret, don't do it!
