Really nice place. Great community

If you have an option put your family somewhere else…anywhere else!!! Horrible facility. The rules change daily. The staff from the top to the bottom always claim they don't know or they are too busy. Meals are terrible. Like dog food. At first it looks good…Served cold and not in timely manner after awhile. One example I showed up to see my family and he had a plate of coleslaw and soaked coleslaw pizza. It was soggy and horrible. My family member needed to go to the dentist during pandemic. I was told that the van they had been using didn't have working a/c and the last resident the took in it they were miserable. I then rented a handicap van. The facility didn't want family in the car with him so they used a rented driver and van instead in the middle of the pandemic. They are not properly following state regulations and quarantining properly because their nursing director has been out of town for a month. My family will call and sit on the phone with me to prove he waited 30+ minutes to go to the bathroom. They tell him they are busy with others he'll have to wait his turn. They tell him just go in your pants if you have to. The aide one duty for his room worked for agency the other day and told him that she was putting him to bed at 7pm because of his attitude. He called and said he was only upset because he really needed to go to the restroom and she kept turning out his hall light. I showed up to see him through the window...he was crying. I knocked on the door to get help ...they claim he must ask for meds if he he is in pain. Please look at other options. You will see carnivals and parades and cute pictures for this place please do not fall for their marketing to get your family here. Do not go here for skilled they do not have an actual skilled rehabilitation area...they sometime just randomly use the salon or clear residents out of sunroom so they can bill for skilled rehab. The only one thing I can say that is good is their housekeeping crew. They keep the place decently clean and as family members you look for clean when placing family. They keep it clean .. looks good on the surface. Do not chose the Baptist village or evergreen care facility. They are nasty. Seems ok at first then the true colors bleed later….trust me.

My mother live here for 14 years. At first they where really nice and she loved living here. She past away in May. I was told we would get a refund for the rent of her apartment. Never did!! I would not recommend this place to anyone. They need to improve there apartments. Hers had cracks in the floor and walls.

Unity Square Update: 8-21-21 Still very happy...they take good care of my Dad...above and beyond! My Dad lives there now. The efficiency rooms are very big for what I expected. It's nice...clean. I'll add more after he's been there awhile.

Hey up! This is a good place for the elderly. There's help when they have the need for it, & they still have their freedom to do what they can. Our mom lived there for several years. She felt safe there. Any problem that she had was taken care of quickly & efficiently! That was easy on her & us! She also had some really good neighbors too! Only reason I give 4 stars, is that all the buildings needs new roofs! I do hope that they address this issue soon. Again, thanks for listening!
