BARNES PLACE

My mother has been a resident here since 2018. The rates started out reasonable but in the last several years prices have increased over 50%. The facility has been bought and has been sold twice in that time and each new owner has raised prices. Now this year, the residents are going to be charged for services that were previously included in the monthly fee. This is a real hardship for someone whose retirement and social security are no longer keeping up with the monthly rate increase. I will be exploring other options for my mom but I hate to relocate a 93 yr old woman who feels Barnes is her home.

I am very happy with the care and living experience for my mom at Barnes. They schedule daily activities and social gatherings as well as provide families with selective levels of attentive care they can choose.

Outstanding care by the team at Barnes’s Place… Extremely well run, organized, and clean. To name a few that make the difference — Missy, Missy, Holly, David, Mern, Jenn, Kailee, Kala and all the support aides, cleaning staff make a HUGE positive difference in care at Barne’s Place. My husband's uncle moved back from Reno in November to be closer to family due to health issues. From day one everyone at the Barnes Place has been incredibly helpful. Anytime we have a question or concern there has always been someone there to quickly give us answers or direction to a solution. We visit daily and are always greeted with kindness. From the front desk, med techs, custodial staff, all the aide workers down to the residents, everyone we have encountered over the past 2 1/2 months has always gone above and beyond to make us all feel welcome and a part of their family! If you are looking for a personal care home for a family member, I highly recommend the Barnes House.

My mom is currently a resident here. I can not even begin to say how wonderful the staff,overall appearance of facility and generally everything associated with Barnes Place. It is clean,no weird odors and bright. The staff all are so kind and friendly, always checking on her and other residents. Anytime I have a question regarding her care the staff are quick to give me an answer. The food is very good...family can eat a meal with the resident they are visiting. They have alot of activities both in the building and out about in the community. I could go on and on about Barnes Place so if you are considering it for yourself or a loved one then I highly recommend you schedule a visit. You will not regret it.
