Bickford Cottage Cedar Falls

When visiting Bickford of Cedar Falls I had the pleasure of listening to one of the residents play piano. He had such a big smile and I could tell this brought great joy to his heart! I love that Bickford encourages their residents to stay active!! Miranda, the Happiness Coordinator, always has a welcoming smile!!

This is an amazing home. Everything is squeaky clean and fresh looking. But it's the staff that makes the difference. Every single member consistently gives kind and compassionate care...even under trying circumstances. My father had dementia and they were wonderful with him. They go the extra mile to remember the special dates in their patients' lives and carefully monitor their clients' moods and needs. Everyone is just excellent. 4 years later.....My mother continued to live at Bickford after my father died. They were very attentive to her grieving....even put a beautiful plaque outside her window, honoring the special love that they had for each other. She always had wonderful personal attention from the staff and when she became ill, the staff cared for her like she was one of their own family members. I can't say enough good things about the Bickford staff. They are always kind, never hurried, ready to meet any challenge and if they don't know he answer....they are quick to seek the advice of other professionals. And after all of that, they give special attention to family members! Any request is done immediately And everyone is 'there' to comfort you in your time of grief. My son and I were never asked to clear her room... after she died. We were given plenly of time to be in her room amongst her belongings to come to terms with her absence. Many many thanks to the entire wonderful, amazing Bickford staff . They made my parents last years together comfortable and happy . And after my father died, they didn't forget him in my mother's daily life...as if they were still grieving with her.

Bickford of Cedar Falls is a beautiful place with a comfortable atmosphere. It’s smaller than other assisted livings in the area which allows for more personalized care. I love seeing the connections between the staff and residents!

Bickford has been in Cedar Falls for many years now and they have a history of excellent care. They genuinely want to make a warm and loving home for everyone living there.

I am so grateful for the kindness and care the staff at Bickford has for the residents at Bickford! The activities, homey environment and care offered really matters!
