Bickford Cottage Marshalltown

I highly recommend Bickford for anyone who requires a higher level of care. Not only is the building beautiful and clean but the staff are amazing! Bianca and her team were very responsive and proactive in helping my grandmother. My grandmother loved it here and in the event she needs to return to assisted living, she will go back to Bickford. Thank you for genuinely caring!

This is a wonderful assisted living home! The staff is awesome! Above and beyond with kindness. To resident and family. My dad was hospitalized with an illness and needed a skilled facility for a few weeks. The staff came to visit him there and brought him treats. We were so glad when he went back to Bickford. Trish went out of her way to make this happen. They truly are family. My Dad has been at Bickford in Marshalltown for over a year. He has had several health issues, where he has gotten ill very quickly. The staff handles these situations very well. They notified me when they noticed behavior changes and called EMS when needed. I am a nurse and I have confidence in the caregivers there. Glad we have chosen Bickford to be home!

Bickford is a beautiful, welcoming community, with wonderful people, especially Rick Stevens, the head of maintenance. Mr. Stevens keeps everything at Bickford in excellent working order, so no residents or their families ever have to worry. He is kind, considerate and friendly, and is a vital part of the staff that make Bickford of Marshalltown such a great place to live.

Bickford cottage was the home of our grandma Betty for over a decade. She was treated with the upmost respect and dignity during her time here and lived a wonderful last chapter of your life. I would highly recommend this place to anybody.

We toured the facility and we were very impressed with the level of care that they provide and also the atmosphere. Very welcoming and caring. Our tour was done by Stephanie Graw and she was simply the best. She was very knowledgeable and truly seems to care about the residents. She spoke to them by name and treated them like human beings, and not just "Old People". She had a kind word and a smile for everyone. We still have some planning to do, but I feel we may have found the place for our family member.
