My husband spent the last three months of his life at Bickford. I can't say enough about the facility. The staff was very caring and made the transition easier for me. It was a tough time but Bickford staff was wonderful.

I recently volunteered at Bickford of West Des Moines to decorate for the Christmas season. I was very impressed with the employees’ commitment to making Bickford a great place for the residents to live. In my time I spent there I could tell that part of the culture is to make the residents number one. Employees go out of their way to put a smile on the residents’ faces. They truly went the extra mile to make sure that the Christmas season was special for all of their residents at Bickford. It made me feel like my time was well spent to help out an organization the cares so much about their residents. I would recommend Bickford to anyone looking for an assisted living facility or even just more information about assisted living facility for the future.

I am very happy with Bickford Senior Living in West Des Moines. My dad is in memory care and as a nurse myself I can see that staff really cares for dad and the other residents. His hygiene needs are met and his room is clean. Staff/Administration are always willing to listen to our concerns & have made every effort to make any changes that are needed. The best part about Bickford is the home-like atmosphere & that they treat dad like he’s part of their family!

In the last 18 months I’ve toured many senior living options to find a place for my mom. Bickford in West Des Moines didn’t hit my radar right away, and I wish it had. The staff is kind, the nurse has been there a long time, and the sales team easy to work with. With its locked facility and large courtyard my mom is safe. I know if something is going on they call me. When I left one of my first tours there a woman was driving by. She rolled her window down and told me her mom used to live there and anytime she was in town she does a drive by because she missed her mom and all the times she used to visit. The facility doesn’t have all the bells and whistles and updates, but from someone that went with a place that did I regretted it. This place has heart, kindness, and dedication. Thank you!
