Bickford - Rockford House

I live at Bickford House and my sister lived here before me.I was here often when she lived here and so I was very familiar with this facility before I moved in. I have a spacious apartment with a full kitchen. I have windows in my bedroom so my cat is very content to lay in there watching all that is going on outside. Very content here!

The family advisor. Dawn was such a help as we were looking for a place for a friend.. She was very knowledgeable and cheerful, and as we walked through the branch, we couldn’t help but feel the love from the other caregivers that were there. It looks like a resort it was very clean and fresh and bright. Their approach to keeping seniors healthier longer through the higher path is groundbreaking and it’s something that all community should follow that deal with seniors-well done Bickford!

The process to get my mom into this facility was so easy. Dawn spent a lot of time with my sisters and I working with our finances and making sure the move in process was explained and run smoothly. The care is excellent! There is an abundance of staff that come by and check on my mom and meet her needs. The quality of food at each meal is excellent, starting with a salad, entree and dessert. We moved our mom from another facility that had a major staffing issue as well as a difficult director. So now we are happy that we found mom’s forever home.

Making the decision to place a parent/loved one into assisted living is never an easy one. Bickford was there every step of the way to ensure the safety and utmost care was provided for my mom. This includes the decision-making process, move in process, and life after the move. The staff have been top notch both in taking care of my mom and also with assisting my dad dealing with placing his wife of 55+ years into care. A friendly, very clean, inviting and caring facility. Meals are delicious and well thought of for the residents of all. The approach Bickford takes of memory care, assisted living and independent care is an approach I have not seen before in a facility and one of the main reasons for our choice. Bringing everyone together verse segregation helps all. This is truly a place I would recommend. Bickford has been home to my mom for almost a year. She has really settled in to her “apartment” nicely. Not only does she enjoy having some independence, she’s also appreciative of and comforted by the care and attention she receives from every one of the Bickford Family Members. She’s made some dear friends and has many opportunities for various activities and socializing. The peace of mind knowing she is being so well taken care of has been such a blessing to our family.
