BRANDYWINE LIVING AT LITCHFIELD

The staff at Brandywine is top notch. Nursing is on top of everything and I feel relieved knowing my mom is safe and well cared for. Day-to-day staff are caring and keep moms spirits up during this difficult phase of life. They work with families to try and accommodate every need including rides to appointments, coordination of medical care with physicians, and adjusting personal care as needed to allow mom as much independence as possible. Mom has been at several other places in the area and they don't compare.

My father, my mother, and step-father all moved to Brandywine over the last 2 years, and it has been a great experience overall. They have many more opportunities now instead of being stuck at home, and they have made life-long friends with both staff and other residents. It feels like home and is a very friendly and safe environment with a good balance of independence and support that puts everyone at ease.

My mom lived in Brandywine's Memory Care Unit for almost 5 years. The care was exceptional. The staff is compassionate, patient, kind, loving and skillful. Every time I visited, the facility was clean and the residents were engaged in an activity or resting comfortably. When I brought up any concerns with the staff or administration, they were respectful and willing to make changes. Moving my mom to Brandywine was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Having lived at another assisted living that had a staffing shortage…..what a difference! Everyone at Brandywine knows your name, they help you out all the time. The food here is spectacular and the chef will work with you if you have a special diet. The nursing staff is very very good. They are attentive and their concierge doctor is excellent. You’re never bored at Brandywine. There are several activities every day and there is something for everyone.

My mother was a resident in Reflections at Brandywine Living at Litchfield for the last three years. We were really happy with her care and the caring community that Brandywine provided for her. In the three years she lived at Brandywine, we got to the staff quite well. They always made us feel welcome, as if we were "visiting grandma's house!" One of our biggest fears was that my children (all elementary aged) would not feel comfortable visiting, and we desperately wanted them to still be able to connect with their grandmother and have fun when visiting so they would want to visit again! The staff always welcomed them - and we came to most look forward to the Family Connections events every month, where the whole family was invited for music, delicious food, dancing, arts and crafts - unique events each month and so much fun! Brandywine feels like family. Their kindness, understanding, and care in difficult decisions and transitions meant the world to us...and above all, welcoming our family with open arms.
