BRANDYWINE LIVING AT LONGWOOD

No matter what facility, do yourself a favor and keep your loved ones home with care you manage if at all possible. In 2023, my mother was in Memory Care as her main residency with Assisted Living Day activity participation requiring transporting to those activities. On day 17 she was being transported to an activity in the dining room where she was ambulating with her walker, unassisted with other memory care residents. She was NEVER to be left unattended while walking. She fell and suffered a hip fracture requiring surgery and dominant elbow fracture with laceration to her arm. It was a major setback at 95 and we are still dealing with the repercussions of the situation.

My sister Susan and I moved our mom Agnes into Brandywine in May and when we first arrived we were greeted in the lobby with happy fan fare. It was like mom was walking the red carpet! She was so thrilled to be the star of the show and loved the champagne and goodies! There were so many new faces cheering her into the building! Faces that we all know now and appreciate. Everyone has been so welcoming and kind to our mom. Melissa is so sweet and friendly when you come in the front door, as well as Betsy and Cheryl when we are leaving. They respond immediately to any of our requests and take their job seriously. Mom also loves the activities, and Jessica and Lin do a great job with the residents and are very patient and kind! We know that the nurses, aids, maintenance, housekeepers and dining staff have mom’s best interests at heart and that means so much to us and that she is in good hands when we are not here. Mom does enjoy Brandywine and the food and we are happy knowing that she is in a wonderful place, one that she now calls home! Thank you so much to all!

Our family is so very pleased with my father's care at Brandywine Living at Longwood. He has thrived since his move here both physically and emotionally. He participates and is engaged with all of the activities offered, always feeling safe and inclusive. All of the personnel are professional, attentive and kind. We are always greeted warmly at the front desk, and it is especially comforting that they take a genuine interest in all of the residents. Melissa is a gem, always offering assistance with addressing Dad's various needs. We are thrilled that he is so happy here.

Everyone at Brandywine Living is wonderful. I feel everyone has my Moms best interests at heart. The environment is so pretty and clean. The front desk staff is warm, friendly and welcoming and they know each resident by name. My mom is happy to call Brandywine Living home.

We moved our mom into Brandywine Living at Longwood last month and are so very happy with the care she is receiving. The community is warm and welcoming and she really enjoys all the activities they have to offer. Everyone went out of their way to ease the transition and make living there as close to home as possible.
