1/3/26 Bridgeway of Bensenville  Supportive Living – Extremely Concerning Experience Our experience with Bridgeway of Bensenville Supportive Living was deeply disappointing and alarming. What is shown on their website does not match the reality in person. The photos are misleading, and the facility itself felt neglected. Customer service was poor from the start. As we walked down the hallway toward my grandmother’s room, all we could hear from multiple rooms were residents calling out, “Can someone please help me?” That alone was heartbreaking and unacceptable. The room my grandmother was placed in was not clean. The bed had no railings, which is a serious safety concern for elderly residents. The food was also not good—well below what you would expect for a care facility. They lucky this doesn’t allow me to post the pictures I took there. We removed my grandmother from this facility almost as quickly as she was brought in. Based on what we witnessed, this place needs to be investigated. Please be extremely cautious and do thorough research before sending your loved ones here. When it comes to elder care, safety, dignity, and compassion matter—and this place is not it!

Not sure where they solicited any of the positive reviews that I’ve seen. I’ve been there two times, my family member is not even there and I can tell this is not the place for . The first time I went was for a tour, drove 45 minutes only to be told that they had no idea there was a tour scheduled, that the person I was supposed to be meeting wasn’t even there and that there was no one available to even give me the tour. I was not impressed at all with the lobby. It’s very dark and outdated and smells like urine. None of what I saw in person even remotely resembles any of the pictures that are online, and I’m finding that to be true with most facilities, very deceiving and very disheartening since you are ultimately making the decision to have these people take care of the health and well-being of your loved one. I did schedule a second appointment to give them the benefit of the doubt. That appointment did not really go any better, in addition to the lobby being dark and outdated and still smelled of urine even stronger the second time, the hallways that I was taken down to get to see a room were also dark and outdated and completely carpeted, which looked disgusting as did the carpeting in the room. I saw beds that did not look inviting. Room was dark windows looked appalling. Will not be transferring my loved one there, I would not recommend anybody transfer their loved one there.

The assisted living and memory care activities department is top notch. Amaris and Jeanie go above and beyond for their residents and create a sense of community. They love their residents like they are there own! Great activities great staff!

Really satisfied with the care for my grandpa at this facility. It was clean, staff was attentive and friendly. Process was smooth from beginning to end. Roger in admissions helped make it easy and Jason, the nurse on the unit, was kind and attentive to my grandpa. The main lobby area was very nice and made a great space for our family to meet.

My brother spent 2 1/2 years here. This is a terrible place. He was in diapers and would call me in the middle of the night because he wasn't being changed. I came in and found feces dried to the floor in his room. The bathroom he shared with another resident was so filthy your feet would stick to the floor. I scheduled a meeting to discuss my concerns and nothing came of it. We came up with a list of follow up items and I never received a follow up on anything. Three weeks ago, I went to visit my brother and he didn't look good. I told the nurse he seemed to be having trouble breathing and was falling asleep while I was there. The nurse was standing right outside his door and instead of going in right then, he said he would have day shift check on him. It took them 3 days after my initial report to send him to the hospital. He had pneumonia and it was advanced by the time he was admitted to the hospital. He was put on a ventilator and died 2 weeks later. The doctors said he was anemic, his sodium level was dangerously low and his magnesium and potassium levels were low. After he passed, I never heard one word from anyone at Bridgeway. They did not return my phone call. They packed up his belongings and put them in the basement. When I went to pick up his belongings, management was conveniently in a meeting. I was escorted to the basement by housekeeping personnel and it took us an hour to locate his things. Do not be fooled by the fancy lobby. That is where they spend their money They do not take care of their patients. They are neglectful and do not return phone calls. I would give them 0 stars but that isn't possible.
