I was so amazed at how delicious the food was!!! No wonder Patti lives to eat her meals there. Our table(#13!) was so much fun. We were seated in the back which was great because we did not have to yell over one another. The other two residents were so sweet and kind. All in all a great wonderful fun time. Also I don’t know who decorated and did the centerpieces but it looked absolutely beautiful and elegant. Thank you for an awesome time.

I moved my mom from the Midwest to Brightview after my dad passed just under 2 years ago. It was a huge change for my mom, but she couldn’t be more content living in the Brightview assisted living community. I can’t speak highly enough about the staff and management team. They are wonderful! The feeling of the environment is joyful, inclusive, supportive and compassionate. I appreciate how family members are always welcomed to participate in celebrations and events. Brightview knows how to celebrate family! When I chose Brightview, I needed to know that if my mom needed to move to memory care at some point, that I would feel confident about the care she would be receiving. The good news is that I would! I know that wherever my mom is living at Brightview, she will be in good hands!

The Associates at Brightview have been exceptional from day one. My father is in assisted living and LIVING and loving the food, staff, activities and ability to just take a nap! My mom moved to Wellspring Village and it was a seamless transition for her, due to the associates care and helping us navigate the process from her previous memory care facility. My parents attended a concert, together, for the first time in five years! Our family can finally relax knowing they are well cared for and happy.

I want to take a moment to highlight how wonderful Brightview on New Canaan is. My mother is suffering from Glioblastoma (in her 70s), which is a little different than the “traditional” resident looking for support. As the disease progressed, we realized that we needed help. After calling around to numerous Assisted Care/Memory Units in the New Canaan area, it became quickly obvious that Brightview was the obvious choice. Before I toured, I’d already had several conversations with Meagan and Kathleen who gave me confidence that their facility could handle the unique needs of my mom with grace and understanding, including being able to adjust care as the disease progressed. After touring and meeting more of the staff (from the head nurse to head of facilities) I knew if we were going to take this momentous leap into moving my mom from her long time home, this was the place. After consultation with the team, we moved her to the Memory Care unit due to the unique nature of Glio. We have had challenges since she has moved, including a recent hospital stay due to her disease - at which many of the staff came and visited my mom during (!). But Brightview has continued to step up on their initial promise, partnering with us and handling the challenges as they come. As my mom has struggled with decline, she has consistently emphasized that she feels “safe” at Brightview, and that she feels the staff really care for her. She has made some friends (with Staff and residents), is stimulated by the frequent and diverse activities, and finds peace when she needs some quiet in the beautiful gardens or sitting area. But as other reviewers attest - it is the staff here that truly shine. Care is the #1 priority, and it shows. A massive thank you to the staff for the continued support as we travel this very difficult journey - we are so lucky we found you!

We moved our 87 year old mother to Brightview in December 2021. It was the best thing we did for our mom who suffers from vascular dementia. Her short term memory has progressively worsened and the facility she was at prior to Brightview did not notice or adjust her care plan accordingly. As a result, her weight and heath began to decline as well. She was withdrawn and did not want to socialize. Once we moved her to Brightview, the staff was so great with her. They had her out and about all day, mingling and socializing. She was the happiest we have seen her in years. Everyone at Brightview, whether it's the front desk reception, management, or the loving staff, all are exceptional. They actually do care for each one of their residents and they do a wonderful job engaging the residents at all levels. We are so happy our mom was able to live out her last few months at Brightview. She had friends there and she was happy. Thank you all for caring for her so well, to the end!
