Darby House

I wouldn’t recommend this place to take care of a houseplant much less my loved one I hear there has been a lot of changes in the past few months and it was NOT FOR THE GOOD my loved one is no longer living there for this reason

My father was diagnosed with dementia and subsequently no longer able to care for himself. Despite my father having some behavioral issues, the Darby House staff treated him with respect, dignity, and a friendly attitude. Additionally, the Darby House was extremely accommodating to me in terms of financial management, organizing his prescriptions, and coordinating his VA benefits. Subsequently, I had to transfer my father to a more secure (lock-down) facility, but I can't recommend Darby House enough because of their quality of care and very competitive pricing.

My Dad was in his late 80s when he could no longer drive and needed to find assisted living. He had heard good things about The Darby House so he checked it out and made arrangements to move in right away. He was there four years until 2018 when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had to move to a nearby nursing home. As my Dad's POA, I had a lot of dealings with the manager and staff at the Darby House. The entire staff is wonderful to work with. They are extremely accommodating, kind and responsive. I cannot say enough good things about the Darby House and highly recommend it for anyone looking for assisted living.
