Excellent care is given here. The staff is amazing. They are attentive to the needs of each resident and quick to assist the family with any questions or concerns.

My mom is healthy, and happy at Brookdale. She actually told me it's the nicest place she's ever lived. The staff care about her, and are part of her family. She loves them, They love her!!!! I Can't say enough about Brookdale Senior Living Center in Chickasha, OK, but thank you for all you do. Thanks for taking good care of my mom. I never worry. My mom is very social, loves to hang out with the rest of the residents and chat. She also talks about the pet turtles in the common area outside. I can just go on and on. Nothing negative to say at all. My mom is spoiled!!!! Oh, the food is amazing!!!!

Update: 03/10/2020 Brookdale called me today and after review, they decided to refund the whole amount of payment we gave them, so I respect and appreciate their concern and effort in this matter! Thank you Brookdale! ...................................... This place is all about the money, would definitely not recommend this facility. You must be VERY sure of your decision to live there when you put your money down because they will not give it back! We were going to have my mother live there so we gave them $2500 on Friday and changed our mind over the weekend and tried to get the money back on Monday and they refused to refund it even though they didnt provide any services and my mother hadn't even moved in. We were very upset about this!

It looks like most of the 5 star reviews are written by employees of Brookdale in Chickasha. I am giving one star because, in my opinion, they are dishonest. They recently told me they wanted to charge an additional 473.00 per month in addition to the 580.00 we are paying for level 1 care (this does not include the charge for meals, room etc. but is in addition to the main cost of room and board) which is medication management as my mother is able to do everything else on her own. They tried to justify this by saying that she was refusing to take her meds and they had to put forth more effort. I asked them to call me when she refused and I could get her to take the meds....the Health and Wellness Director said they could do that, but it would still be an extra cost of 473.00 per month because they would still be going to extra trouble, but that they would call me whenever she refused. Well...I didn't receive any calls and therefore assumed she must be taking her medicine. I decided to talk with each of the employees that administered her medications. I found out that rarely did she refuse and took her meds willingly. I spoke with the director and asked if he could have the employees to come into his office while I was there and ask them for himself. They stated the same thing to the director that they did to me...that my mother took her medication without incident most of the time. One said she refused once maybe every 15 or 20 days. The director printed off the report for 3 months showing meds given and if she took them or refused. The report showed that she had refused twice in 3 months. I told him I didn't think that warranted an extra 473.00 per month. I have spoken with family members of other residents who have recently experienced the same thing....Brookdale wanting to increase the amount of care for a reason that was unjustified and unreasonable. It is completely understandable for the cost to go up if a resident progresses to a higher level of care, but this is not the case for my mother nor others I have spoken with regarding this issue. I am moving my mother to a much nicer facility for less than what Brookdale wants to charge. I rarely post reviews, but wanted those who may be considering Brookdale Chickasha for a loved one to be aware of this. I will also add that when I first moved my mother to Brookdale, they had a different Director and a different Health and Wellness Director. The current Director and Health and Wellness Director have been there about 7 months. I'm not sure if this would have been an issue with the previous directors or not.

A beautiful place with a website and literature that reads as if it's almost too good to be true. With over 4 star ratings that I found out came from all the Brookdale assistant living facility's together, not individually rating this one. Looks can be deceiving. They honor nothing they print or say. Please look at all rooms and not just the one they promise to have smelling better or stains cleaned out of carpet. Please talk to random residents that are of your choice and families that visit daily. No weekly cleaning room. No checking on resident every 2 hours, no changing hygiene materials for residents. No cleaning urine and bowel off toilets, showers, trash cans, etc. And leaving our loved ones in wet feces for hours at a time. Way understaffed which makes it very hard on the 2 employees at every shift to take care of the now 28 residents which makes it even harder for our loved ones. Rush them to meals. Rush them to eat. No assisting resident in need during mealtime. Adds on to billing at end of month for services not rendered. Please be cautious and stay with your loved ones as much as possible here. And for God's sake get a nanny cam. Shame on you Brookdale. Yes it's too good to be true, and yes we're taking our loved ones out of here.
