Brookdale Dover

Brookdale was absolutely superb in helping me move my family member in for the first time recently. The staff and the administration are extremely courteous, respectful, caring, competent, and helpful. I am looking forward to a long and satisfying relationship between Brookdale and my family.

My father lived at Brookdale Dover and it was welcoming and just like home. The staff made such a difference for my dad, and took good care of him, and were kind and supportive to me. Not only am I grateful for what they gave my dad, which was a safe and caring place to live…but what they gave me. I knew he was taken care of, which allowed me to be his daughter and not his caregiver. It also allowed me to be present for my husband and children. All of which was priceless.

My father spent the final 9 months of his life a Brookdale Assisted Living in Dover. I cannot say enough good things about their interactions with him & our family. It didn't take long for me to see the camaraderie of the staff, as well as the deep compassion & care they had toward all of their residents. This place truly operates like a family. I attribute this in large part to the executive director, Cheryl Hollis. Brookdale was a God-send to my father, who desperately needed the community, activities & care they provided. They made the remaining months of his life an amazing experience - & for that I am truly grateful! I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants the best overall care for their aging loved one.

My mom moved in on September 28. It’s only been a short while, but she has adjusted very quickly, and very well. She participates in all the activities, she is eating well, and she is in good spirits every time I visit with her. I feel it is the pleasantness of all the staff at Brookdale that makes the difference. I have even referred a co-worker, who literally just moved his mom in as well. Keep up the good work Brookdale.

Our family moved our Mom into Brookdale Assisted Living in Dover, DE, a little over 2 years ago. We chose Brookdale over other similar facilities because of the friendliness of the staff and lower cost. We do not regret our decision. The care she received during the time she was there (she passed away from natural causes in October) was outstanding. The caregivers were wonderful! They always showed a genuine interest in our Mom's health and welfare. Until her health started to fail, she thrived while she was there. Thank you, Brookdale, for caring so lovingly for our Mom!
