Brookdale Oak Park has proven to be far better than my hoped-for expectations. The people, both residents and staff, are outgoing, friendly and service-oriented. High resident engagement and staff's outstanding support have provided intellectually stimulating and fun activities for all kinds of interest groups. Chefs provide good meals and my dietary needs have been wonderfully met. The architecture and physical grounds are well-maintained, and there's a lovely public garden a block away. The location is amazing: one block away from downtown Oak Park, where we can walk to a grocery store, restaurants, the public library, a movie theater, shops, banks, book stores. I'm very happy my daughter found this new home for me.

My mother moved in June 2025 and I've just spent a week visiting her. I am deeply grateful for the experience and community she has at Brookdale - it is an incredibly dynamic and interesting group of residents. I had a very friendly and warm experience - meeting people on the elevators and at meals, and at a variety of resident led activities. The staff I met were friendly and helpful and the leadership seems deeply committed to creating a positive, healthy and supportive living environment. I appreciated the personal touches (attention to food allergies, a place to charge her EV, etc.) and love that mom is able to live in such a wonderful community. It is perfectly located - just 2 blocks from shops, cafes, restaurants, gym, etc. We decided on Brookdale after the highly personal and thoughtful engagement with Natasha and then subsequently with Samantha, Marjan and others. They helped us navigate a very difficult time and help mom feel supported and welcomed.

Brookdale is the largest senior living corporation in the country. But along with that is their attention to the needs and concerns of every individual. Residents are friendly. Staff is very accommodating. Residents all seem happy. Dinners are delicious and there is always dessert! Transportation is readily available to Dr. Appts Grocery stores, personal care (hair, nails, etc) and Oak Park is a town with many amenities. Every thing you need is available or there will be someone who will help you access your need.

I have lived at Brookdale Oak Park since August 2025. I have found that the process for moving in was extremely easy. Basically because the people were very gracious and accommodating. And I was also surprised when I moved in how helpful, curios and respectful the staff has been. They have accommodated my wants and needs beyond my expectations and continue to do so. I really enjoy living here and recommend people consider Brookdale Oak Park.
