From what I have seen of this place, I could only give it 1 star. The biggest complaint I would have for it is for "specializing" in memory care, they do not provide the staff to back using "specialized". The workers there with the exception of the nurses, are NOT required to have any CNA or license. They hire people that have no memory care experience. The most any get is CPR certified and first aid. When we were there, it reminded me quite frankly of having high school baby sitters there to just watch residents. After residents would go to bed, they would be found hiding somewhere sitting and chatting- not walking halls checking in on residents. So, if you had a resident need something after bedtime, they would have to go out and hunt someone down. The price you pay to be locked inside somewhere is ridiculous. Activities are similar to what the other nursing homes have going. Cable cost extra and is basic, so if you want to watch something not included in basic, you have to go into the main social area. There was conflicting statements about privacy. NO doors on the bathroom area. The toilets sit and face the window from across the room. So if your blinds are open, anyone walking by would see you sitting on the toilet or buck naked getting out of the shower. When asked if there could be a shower curtain hung for privacy, it was a strict no, then turned to a yes. In the end though, for how much the place costs per month, the staffing and requirements for staff to be employed is rather disappointing. Might as well send someone to a full blown nursing home memory care unit where they are required to have a CNA license, they have bathroom doors, and such. The other 2 five stars on the reviews are from people who work there.
