BUCKINGHAM SMITH ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY

I had a very disappointing experience with Lilac at Bayview Nursing Home. There were roaches present in patient rooms, which is completely unacceptable in a healthcare and rehabilitation setting. In addition to the cleanliness issues, communication was a constant problem!! The front desk and phone staff were extremely rude and dismissive, and it was extremely difficult to get updates about a family member. Calls were frequently transferred to voicemails that were full, making it impossible to leave messages, and follow-ups were non-existent. Getting basic information required repeated calls and a lot of unnecessary frustration. What I found most telling is that once your loved one is discharged, the facility suddenly becomes very responsive… calling repeatedly to ask about your experience and pushing you to complete surveys privately. It feels less like genuine concern and more like an attempt to keep negative experiences from being shared publicly. Based on cleanliness issues, poor communication, and overall lack of professionalism, I would not recommend this facility to others looking for quality care for their loved ones.

My aunt wasn't even there 24 hours and she had to sign herself out. The snotty "CNA" attending to her was extremely rude, nasty, tried to give her the wrong medication, refused to actually get her correct meds to her. Right out of back surgery and she tells her she ain't getting anything until she sits all the way up. Rolled her eyes and walked away once my aunt told her she couldn't sit up and needed assistance. These places need to stop hiring people with no actual patience or patient experience. I'm filing a complaint with the BBB in the morning, filing a complaint to Humana, contacting CMS and requesting an audit on their staff's credentials. You don't treat people like dirt and just assume they have no one to stand up for them. As a medical biller trust me I've seen how south things can go for a place that mistreats their patients.

I put my mother in for a 5 day stay at facility. Everyone was friendly there, facility was nice and clean. After mom’s stay the follow up was great. They texted me a few times to ask how she was doing. They care about there patients. Great place!

I perform live music for the residents at both the skilled facility and the nursing home, and it is always a pleasure to be there. The staff, management, and residents are consistently warm, welcoming, and highly appreciative of my music. A special thank you to Anton, the Activity Director, and Heather, the Administrator — they are incredibly helpful, friendly, and wonderful to work with.

Pretty great rehabilitation services they have, responsive and helpful staff and nurses, everyone took care to make sure my mom transitioned well after discharge and had everything she needed. Mary B made sure i had essential equipment and meds after she got out. The facility itself is fine but a little depressing :( the services and staff are amazing though. would consider the place for long term nursing for my mother one day if that day comes
