My grandparents currently live at Camellia Place, and our family has been incredibly pleased with the level of care and attention they receive. Since day 1, the staff has been welcoming, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every resident. It’s comforting to know that they are in a place where they are treated with dignity, patience, and respect each day. The community itself is beautiful, The cottage-style layout makes it feel more like a neighborhood than a facility, making my grandparents feel more at home. Excellent food and chefs! Very well-maintained, the common areas are clean and inviting. The staff communicates well with our family, keeping us informed, especially regarding health updates and changes. The activities offered encourage socialization and engagement, which has made a noticeable difference in my grandparents’ mood and overall quality of life. It’s clear that the team truly cares about creating a safe, warm, and supportive environment. Camellia Place has given our family peace of mind. We are grateful to know our grandparents are surrounded by attentive caregivers and a community that feels like home.

The wellness director, Stacy, is such a light! Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for her residents shine through in everything she does. Always smiling, always caring, and always making sure everyone is loved and cared for. Her compassion makes such a difference for residents and families alike.

Camellia Place is one of my favorite communities to within Cherokee County and one of the best assisted livings in the Woodstock area that I have had the privilege to partner with. They have a full staff that truly cares about their residents and tons of activities for all of their residents to partake in. Stacy the wellness director is consistently doing continued education with the staff to provide premiere care to the residents. She is also always on top of the care needs of the residents and I know that if I needed a place for my mom or dad- I would be comfortable with moving them in here.

When the original owners ran Camellia Place, it was clear they genuinely cared about their work and the people they served—just what we hoped for when we moved our mother in. But after a new company took over, everything declined quickly. Staff turnover and quality of care suffered. Despite our repeated requests: • Black mold grew in her bathroom and was never remediated. • Her room went uncleaned, and her laundry was often ignored—she eventually had to wash clothes in the sink. • Once, she became severely dehydrated after skipping meals for an entire day because “they forgot.” If you have a family member with memory issues, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. We’re grateful we found a better facility, where she spent her final months being loved and cared for properly.

Camilla Place was the perfect fit for my father during the last months of his life. It was warm, inviting, and cozy. His room was comfortable and clean. He loved the food. The staff understood the challenges residents with Alzheimer’s face and treated him with kindness and grace. Everyone was very nice and genuinely cared about his well being.
