CAMELLIA WALK ASSISTED LIVING AND MEMORY CARE

Leaving this review so other families don’t have to go through what we did. We trusted this assisted living facility to care for our grandmother, and that trust was misplaced. She experienced ongoing neglect, and despite multiple attempts to raise concerns, nothing meaningfully changed. Watching someone you love be ignored or inadequately cared for is devastating. Assisted living should provide comfort, safety, and respect. Instead, we were met with poor communication, lack of accountability, and a clear absence of compassion. No family should have to constantly worry whether their loved one’s basic needs are being met. I sincerely regret choosing this facility and would never recommend it to anyone seeking proper care for an elderly family member.

My grandmother fell out of bed at Camellia Walk of Evans and suffered a serious head injury requiring ICU care. She remained on the floor bleeding for about two hours before being found. Video footage shows she went over eight hours without staff checking on her, despite a stated two-hour rounding policy, and the facility later cited understaffing. Families should ask detailed questions about staffing and overnight supervision.

I’m so grateful for this assisted living community. The staff are caring, patient, and truly treat my loved one like family. The place is always clean and welcoming, and I can tell they really go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable and happy. It gives me so much peace knowing my loved one is safe and cared for every day.

If you’re looking for a place of residence for your loved ones, I highly recommend and vouch for Camillia Walk in Evans, GA. From the moment I walked in, the whole staff was so friendly and inviting and very knowledgeable. All the people there truly exemplified what tangible love looks like. On Tuesday, November 4, 2025 I personally had the honor and pleasure of preaching there during their Bible Club. And what a joy it was. After researching facilities for nearly 6 months, we settled on Camellia Walk for my mother in law. We moved her from Ohio into an assisted living facility living apartment and it was beautiful and just enough for her. Sadly, because of dementia, she quickly had to be moved to memory care within a few months. We can not say enough good things about the staff of the Memory Care Unit of Camellia Walk! Every staff member took such wonderful care of her, even when she became combative, due to the illness. She seemed to be a staff favorite and she was treated with the utmost respect and care. The evening she passed, the staff that was on duty that night, met us at the door with tears, hugs and condolences. Even in death, waiting for the funeral home to come get her, she was still treated with so much love, care and dignity. My husband and I will be forever grateful to this staff for the outstanding level of care my mother in law received while she was a resident at Camellia Walk. We will always recommend this facility for senior living and care.
