Alto Boynton Ridge

My mom has been a resident at the Canopy at Boynton Ridge since the spring of 2022. She regularly says the food is terrible. The menus are poorly planned. The food is poorly presented. Food is sometimes small portions, over or under cooked, too many starches in one meal, etc. She says breakfast is usually good but lunch and dinner are terrible. According to her, she is not the only resident who feels this way. She also says that the facility management does not seem to care at all about making appropriate changes to improve the food...hire a better chef, have better menus, etc. She also says that overall the management is unresponsive. The change of ownership to Allegro has not improved the food situation. One would think with the price per month to live there, the food could at least be palatable and inviting. I regularly suggest to her that we go look at other places. Alto / The Canopy at Boyton Ridge is not the only game in town.

Mom has only been at The Canopy for a couple of weeks now but after the first meeting we could tell this would be a kind & caring environment for her. They have been very easy to communicate with. The staff is very helpful & kind. It's obvious they pay close attention to details, getting to know mom and take special care with her medicines. It's evident Mike & Cindy care for the staff and residents like family!!

What makes The Canopy a@ Boynton Ridge a wonderful haven for the elderly is the community. The staff is friendly & caring with both residents and family. Each week Mom enjoyed live music and games as the residents gathered in the evenings. The environment is modern and clean. It never smelled like “a nursing home” for the 2+ years that Mom lived there. If you have a loved one that you cannot care for at home, The Canopy @ Boynton Ridge is the next best thing to home.

Our experience at the Canopy was brief, but I wanted to give them a positive rating because they did such a great job on the front end. My father did not get to actually stay there, because he passed right before move in. The facility looked really nice. It had well laid out rooms, modern and clean. They view was great from various place. The staff were super friendly. And the meals looked really good. The main salesperson, Mike, was so very helpful with all the details. We looked at about 4 places and would recommend this one.
