Hospitalized a family member without contacting any family. I'm currently on hold waiting for someone to explain what happened. It has been 30+ minutes. Nobody can tell me anything and "no one was there" when it happened. I would not recommend this facility.

The Canopy became Alto at the end of October 2025, making the reviews before this time irrelevant. Alto contains Assisted Living and Memory Care with Assisted Living as their priority, in my opinion. Please make sure you are basing your decision on the correct reviews. Family members write reviews when they are feeling an overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude that they have found a place. 5 stars come easy at this point. It is rare for someone to edit their review while their family member is still a resident in memory care. I am sure you can figure out why. I noticed that many reviews talk about the administrative side but these are NOT the people that will be caring for your loved one. The caregiving staff frequently changes so it would be meaningless to review them. Any mistakes they make are, in my opinion, due to the incompetence of management and lack of training. If you like communication, you will be disappointed. Although I have many examples, the most extreme is NOT receiving a call notifying me that my sister had passed. I was made aware by her hospice team(not employed by Alto). My first notification from Alto came 2 days later in the form of an invoice for the next month's rent. It included a credit from the day she passed until the end of the month, which they called a "leave of absence". I had never heard that expression with regards to death. No call to express condolences or to explain the move out process. I went to clean out her room and found that there were many items that did NOT belong to her including a very heavy dresser but was told by the executive director that I was responsible for emptying the entire room and that I was NOT allowed to use their dumpster. That is the short story. My sister was there for over 2 1/2 years and spent over $150000. She had been cared for by hospice for about 7 months, thus freeing up Alto's caregivers to help other residents. Goodwill and compassion vs the dumpster. Alto chose the dumpster. The new owners have a lot of work to do and it starts at the top.

Due to life changing events I worked with Rebecca at the Canopy with hopes of relocating my parents close to. Rebecca was extremely accommodating and demonstrated the kindest and most personal approach in helping me to facilitate my needs. Not only did she take time help navigate the process, but she also took the time to learn about my family both past and present. I am very thankful for her and would recommend reaching out to her in a time of need.

Our father has been at The Canopy nearly five years and during this time, the caregiver team has become part of our extended family. They have provided our father with exceptional, compassionate care - always looking out for his best interests. Our father has enjoyed the engagement with the other residents through various activities - such as going out on shopping or dining trips. The facility is well-maintained and inviting. Our family cannot express how grateful we are to have found The Canopy.

My mother lived at the Canopy the last 18 months of her life. They took such good care of her and loved her. We had bad experiences at other assisted living facilities, but not so at the Canopy. The staff turnover is minimal. The price is a value compared to other facilities. The care staff is responsive and responsible and always reported anything untoward with mom. The last 5 days of her life, mom was able to stay “at home” under hospice care, and the Canopy staff could not have been more kind and supportive of me and my family. I highly recommend the Canopy to anyone with an elderly family member in need of care.
