Selecting "the best" ALF for a loved one is a daunting task, as there are many things to be considered. My Mother has been a happy & content resident for the past 6 months. Our whole family could not be more pleased with the beautiful surroundings, family atmosphere, engaging social activities, weekly worship services, delicious meals, housekeeping/laundry services & excellent professional nursing & ancillary/therapy care. Every single staff member exhibits the utmost respect, compassion, & professionalism to the residents. Carrick Glen feels like a loving extension of our family as they meet every need. We are so very thankful that we chose to entrust them with the care of our precious Mother.

Choosing an assisted living community for a loved one is a decision not to be taken lightly. You want your loved one to feel comfortable, safe and cared for along with experiencing a good quality of life for their senior years. Carrick Glen has been an excellent choice for our family. From the rocking chairs on the front porch where many residents congregate on pretty days, to the friendly welcome from the receptionist at the front desk in a beautifully decorated facility is just the beginning of the character that Carrick Glen has to offer. We have found the entire staff to be very caring and helpful. The Activity Director plans many fun and engaging activities for the residents during the week and encourages family interaction with Family Game Nights and Holiday Luncheons. The dining room is always cheerful and inviting where meals are shared and friendships are made. The meal staff gets to know the residents and is extremely accommodating to meet their requests. If a resident doesn't show up at mealtime, you can be assured that a staff member will be checking on them. The nursing staff is very attentive and caring to make sure the residents health needs are met. We appreciate all of the staff at Carrick Glen for the loving care and efforts they make every day to ensure a happy, safe environment for our loved one.

My mother has lived at Carrick Glen for the past year and we love the place! The first time we walked in, it just felt like home. It’s beautifully decorated and Mom’s apartment is nice and includes a screened-in porch. She receives good care from the nurses who also administer her medication. The monthly calendars are jammed packed with activities and the activity director goes above and beyond to encourage the residents to participate. The family nights are always a huge hit and even her great grandkids love to come. Mom has thrived under the care of EmPower Me PT and OT. I can’t imagine her being any where else!

Look beyond the pretty picture painted. The decor is nice. The apartments are spacious and laid out well. End of story. EmpowerMe PT/OT onsite is terrific. Most regular Carrick Glen staff are super, but there is an abundance of staff being.provided.through third party staffing agencies. We have experienced a high staff turnover, Food service is subpar in taste, balanced nutrition and presentation. The facility has been recently renovated but the mechanicals and technology services are not reliable. Activities are very basic, without much variety or any effort to find what sparks the residents to participate. As the primary care representative, location is.extrely important to me, which is our primary reason for for selecting Carrick Glen in addition to friend recommendations from years past with their loved ones that were residents there. That ship has sailed. I would not recommend Carrick Glen.

What a peaceful and beautiful place for seniors to live. The atmosphere is always so sweet and caring. It is beautiful decorated for the holidays. The residents have so many daily activities to keep them busy and engaged. The monthly Assisted Family Nights are always a lot of fun for the residents and family members. The staff members are wonderful and the food is delicious.
