Our Mother was in rehabilitation for three weeks. The team is phenomenal, caring, kind and patient. She didn't want to leave and return home once she was well enough to be discharged. This team has made an incredible impact on each of our lives. We are so grateful.

Great r experiences all during my short stay (6 weeks) at Cedar Rehabilitation Center. It started with the pairing with my very good roommate Rich, and continued with the very professional staff through out my rehab process to going home. With each step the personnel were very knowledgeable about my particular needs and care. They were always concerned with my wellbeing and safety. I will miss them all.

I would not send my worst enemy here. My father died and no one reached out for 4 weeks when they called to offer condolences on his passing. My sister had been trying for weeks to reach him and could not get a person on the phone ever. She left many messages, none of the answered. When we finally were told of his passing they had no idea where his remains were and offered no help. Speaking with all parties just had them blaming others about not getting in touch. Now they need my help with an account from my father. Funny how they have no issues reaching out when money is involved.

My mother was in the memory care unit at Cedar. There were so many amazing things. She was very happy there. The full-time staff from the head nurses (weekdays, Erica and weekend, Sherry) were AMAZING!!! Full time aids were also amazing. Treating mom like family. Bear in mind. In any setting like this, there will be LOST items. Even when you mark EVERYTHING!!! That will happen no matter where you are. Keep receipts for anything pricey. The administrator Nate is so responsive!!! If you have any issues that are not getting resolved, he will ensure you get a response. The BIGGEST reason I did not give this facility five stars is due to the Business Office Manager. The one in charge of billing/accounts. I believe she is gone now. But Mary was so frustrating to deal with. Unresponsive and when she did respond, she didn't give you what you asked for. The person that replaced her seems much better. Most times, I only got a response because I had to reach out to Nate. I don't like doing that. I prefer people to do their jobs. Also, the social worker Christie was often times very rude and curt. Otherwise, my mom was very happy there. The residential area is amazing. The little town hall when you walk in is so cute. They have great activities for the residents. In the spring through fall they put out a huge tent outside which was wonderful. We had mom's birthday celebrations out there. We also took mom out all the time. There is SO much in Portsmouth. It is so close to everything!!!! You could not ask for a better location!!!! I love that it doesn't look "industrial" from the outside and that it is in a residential neighborhood. Also my mom was able to see clergy and visitors from the local church, which meant the world to her. The hospice care team was wonderful too.

Cedar Healthcare Center is phenomenal! My mother was brought there straight from the hospital recovering from kidney failure & sepsis. Cedar Healthcare Center not only nursed her back to good health there incredible staff also provided a caring environment while doing so! Christi Balloch Director of Social Services was also crucial in keeping my family in the loop with daily updates while I worked on getting there from the other side of the country. Thank you for your incredible work!
