Issues included deficiencies in medication management such as expired, discontinued, and deceased residents’ medications remaining accessible, missed or undocumented medication administration, and inconsistent accountability for controlled substances. Additional concerns involved staffing instability, frequent call-offs, and limited continuity of care. Communication regarding resident condition changes, hospital transfers, and follow-up on reported incidents appeared inconsistent. These observations raise concerns related to resident safety and regulatory compliance. Families are encouraged to ask detailed questions regarding medication oversight, staffing stability, and communication practices before considering placement.

I recently toured Cedarhurst of Des Peres and was truly impressed from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the residents seemed genuinely happy and engaged. The spaces were clean and designed to feel like home. I appreciated their focus on personalized care and the variety of activities available for all interests, especially in their memory care. It's a great option for someone looking for a smaller and home like community for their loved one.

cedarhurst is working very well for our family. it is a size that is comfortable and homelike. the staff are very attentive and have made great effort to get to know and understand our needs. the facilities are calm and comfortable. the residents, staff, and families are a happy community.

Cedarhurst of Des Peres has been a great experience for my family. The team gave all the support and continual follow-up for my Dad during our efforts to move him into an assisted living. I was so touched by the compassion and professionalism of the team! The personal touch was the most impressive, even though the amenities and community were exceptional...truly the best my father experienced in St. Louis. And the food was amazing! We so appreciate all your team did to help my family as we sought the best experience for my father. THANK YOU!

Thanks to all the Cedarhurst Des Peres staff for sincerely caring for our Mom .I to , as an earlier post mentioned like how spacious the hallways are and the brightness ( lots of natural sunlight) . Mom is in memory care and surely was missing her own home when she became a new resident in April . Appreciate the attention that mom required early on from the nurses , caregivers , facility and activity directors , concierges , thanks Carol for setting up our dinner table on short notice so Moms grandsons could enjoy a July 4th dinner . It truly is an all hands on approach at Cedarhurst when it comes to the care of residents and keeping family updated . Mom is adjusting to her new surroundings , still misses her home ,but with the continued support of the Cedarhurst staff and all the activities , live musical entertainment and family gatherings they present . Mom’s definitely got lots of choices . Definitely don’t say it enough , Thanks to everyone at Cedarhurst
