My Mom has been my best friend my entire life so I have a special place in my heart for Addington because they take such good care of her all the way across the board from every department with every person that works there. As a extremely busy business owner I sleep, and feel better knowing my best friend is being taken care of with them going above and beyond every single day.

I wish I could give Addington Place of Edwardsville 10 stars. Before I start telling you all about this wonderful location, I would like to apologize for not being able to list every person individually by name who helped us or works with Mom. I would literally have to name every staff member who works in the “A” neighborhood, as well as all the Admin staff, Cooking staff, etc. So sorry I can’t name you all, but every one of you are amazing and go above and beyond for your residents! We found Addington Place of Edwardsville when we needed to move my mom into a different assisted living facility. The location where she had been living in St. Louis didn’t have memory care, and she was in need of a higher level of care. Wanting to move her closer to us, we visited multiple locations in the Edwardsville area. This was by far the best location! The building and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. We fell in love with Addington during our first visit. The whole process started with Annie Eads. She is amazing. There was no pressure to make a quick decision, or use of tricky sales techniques. During our initial visit, she walked us through the entire process. Once we decided Addington would be our choice, Annie made sure everything went smoothly. Even though we ran into a few hiccups with Mom’s health, Annie was there for us. EVERYONE here has been amazing. Mom has been at Addington for almost two months. During that time, we haven’t found one thing wrong with this location. Everyone is pleasant and genuinely appears to love their job. Our first week here, Courtney met with us to check on our needs and make sure everything was going well. She provided direct numbers for different staff members we might need in the future. The nursing and assistant staff have been amazing. They communicate well with us to make sure we are able to get things for Mom in a timely fashion. All of the assistants and nursing staff are so pleasant and friendly. They each show a true concern and care for their residents. The kitchen and maintenance staff are amazing as well. While moving in, I was talking to Annie about Mom's TV. She mentioned something to Patrick in maintenance, who had it hung and set up before we got Mom to her room. The Chef, who goes by Frog, is amazing. Along with making fantastic meals, he has personally helped me out on multiple occasions. For instance, I needed assistance on a Saturday and was looking for someone to help me. Frog saw me walking down the hallway and stopped to see how things were going. When I said I needed help with an item in Mom’s room, he didn’t hesitate to offer assistance. He could have easily passed me off to other staff, but he just jumped on the opportunity to help. These are just a few examples of how the staff make everyone feel like family at Addington! If you are looking for a memory care location, this is definitely the place to go in Edwardsville. Thank you to David, the facility director, and all of his staff, for being so amazing and making us all feel like we are part of the Addington family!

My Mom has lived at Addington Place for almost 2 years. They worked very diligently throughout the pandemic to keep the residents well. Even if it meant not being able to visit, I was grateful that they kept everyone safe. My Mom loves her apartment, she loves the people that work there, and she always says the food is great. The other thing that is most important to me, besides my Mom’s happiness and comfort, is the fact that if an issue does arise, Management will listen and accommodate your wishes to make your loved one secure. It’s very important to be an active participant in your loved ones living arrangement and care. We have finally found Moms permanent residence and couldn’t be more pleased.

I cannot say enough about Cedarhurst Memory Care in Edwardsville Illinois. The care my aunt received over a 4+ year period of time was outstanding .. not only in the level of care for her physical needs during her journey with dementia, but also in the level of compassion and genuine love shown to her and to our family as well. Everyone at Cedarhurst went above and beyond in their care and concern for her: the amazing caregivers and nursing staff, the truly wonderful administrators, the exceptional receptionist who is now like family, and the amazing staff beautician who always made my aunt look and feel beautiful ... literally everyone who works there. The minute I walked into Cedarhurst over four years ago .. when I was on my mission to find the very best place for my aunt .. I instantly felt that I had found it! And I had. I didn’t know then how many stages of dementia and changes to her personality she would go through, nor how important it would be that her caregivers were trained by the Alzheimer’s Association ... but I sure know now just how important that is. I saw firsthand how they worked with her .. physically and mentally .. to keep her active and engaged. And this past November, when she declined rapidly and eventually passed, I continued to see just how compassionate and genuinely loving EVERYONE at Cedarhurst was to her, and as typical, to our family as well. We will never forget all that Cedarhurst did for my aunt and it is with heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude that we will always remember everyone who makes Cedarhurst the amazing place that it is. We highly, and without reservation, recommend Cedarhurst Memory Care of Edwardsville Illinois.

What a wonderful facility for a loved one! My mom didn't have memory problems but she was 100 when I brought her there - she had macular with very pool eyesight and couldn't walk long distances anymore with her walker. The close proximity of her apartment to the dining area and activities was perfect for her. Lots of activities for her to enjoy with her poor vision and the staff took care of her like she was their own mother. When mom's time came for Hospice, she was able to stay in her apartment under hospice care and the facility has a nursing staff along with a nurse on call at night. A physician comes to the facility so your loved one will get complete care at Cedarhurst.
