CEDARHURST OF WEST PLAINS

To be a steward of vital life there needs to be a balance between tender and tough unconditional love that nests in wisdom. This is what my wife, Ina, and I have experienced here in Cedarhurst, West Plains. This love runs through all levels of staff and their skill sets. This caring is also in program/events planning and implementation. We have felt listened to with wisdom and patience that seeks to be a steward of life in our lives. We see this alive between and in all levels of staff as they they care for each other. Spontaneous acts of kindness through out the lines of total community that are heart real/genuine are common happenings. You feel your life matters. I am thankful for my experience at Cedarhurst of West Plains !!! Gene Bates

We have been so blessed to have our Father spend his last 2-plus years with Cedarhurst. This place is truly a gem. The staff became and remains family. We will always be so thankful for the care and love that was provided to our Dad - not the easiest, because he was a Marine who was always the Boss.

I volunteer monthly to provide music for the community. This facility is so beautiful and inviting and the residents are always so kind and welcoming. Kim with activities is organized and everyone is seated and ready to participate when I arrive. They have several activities each week that encourage resident involvement. I really enjoy my visits with Cedarhurst of West Plains.

My mother is 91 and a resident of Cedarhurst. The residence is quiet, smells great (always), and beautifully decorated. The hands-on staff is accommodating to her requests and her needs. Many of the staff take a moment to sit and have a short visit to help with loneliness and provide social interaction. They have many social activities for the residents to participate in if they are able. As a health care provider I am extremely comfortable with the care they are providing. The nursing management and supervisors make time to discuss her care and progress and are always available to discuss her needs. They encourage cameras in the rooms for our reassurance and this facilitates us interacting with her 24/7. Mom has settled in now and feels good about her surroundings. I cannot say enough positives about Cedarhurst. Go by and take a tour…you will be pleasantly shocked at what they can provide for your loved ones.

In my experience, Cedarhurst is one of the best assisted living/memory care facilities in the region. My loved one has lived there since 2022 and I have been pleased with the care provided. The building and facilities are modern and comfortable. The management is passionate about quality care. Overall they do a great job and communicate often. Specifics: Staff is generally caring and compassionate. Maintenance and cleaning staff do a good job, though sometimes it takes family members' involvement to get every item taken care of when it comes to cleaning. Likewise, caregiving and activities staff generally strive for a high quality of care. With family help, things can be in great shape and very comfortable for the resident. It is a difficult task to ensure that every residents is happy and consistently cared for. Cedarhurst management does their best to make sure this happens and are always ready to work with family members to ensure it. The facility is not perfect, but considering the rural area and the other options available, I feel a rating of 5 out of 5 stars is warranted. There are a number of facilities available in the area, but I feel Cedarhurst is the top choice for my loved one.
