My mother has been living here for a year and LOVES it!! The staff is exceptional!! She especially enjoys all of the activities that Keisha plans for the residents. Keisha is extremely creative and enthusiastic which has made a HUGE difference in my mom’s attitude and outlook. Collette has also been an incredible nurse who has always communicated with me and truly cared about my mom’s wellbeing. I would highly recommend The Cohen Home to anyone!

What a relief to have found the Cohen Home for my mom. She is now safe and secure in Avery enriching environment. The staff is super attentive and encourages to get up, dressed and participate in mind-stimulating activities like trivia, games, music, and more. It’s making all the difference. I can’t say enough good about this place - the food, service, amenities and medical care are beyond anything we hoped for. Also, they are super careful with COVID precautions and have had no cases, unlike many other long term care facilities. My family and I highly recommend the Cohen Home which, comparatively speaking is an excellent value.

Our family made the decision to move Mom from an independent living situation in Florida to the Cohen Home several months ago. I am so happy that we made that fateful decision! I feel secure in the knowledge that her needs and desires are respected and that she is so well cared for. She has a number of medical conditions and the nursing and dietary staff there have been fantastic in ensuring she is comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this facility for your loved one.

Reconsider having your loved ones live here. The physical plant of the facility shows the commitment of the community, but care provided shows that leaders of the community are not managing it well. My mother lived here for 18 months and she was treated poorly by the management. Management seems immature and in need of oversight. If you want to be involved in your loved one's life, they don't like that because then you see what goes on there. If you just want to dump your loved one here and visit once or twice a month, that's what they like... Note that my last name and the name of this facility are coincidentally the same - it is a very common last name. Also, ask yourself why the other reviewers have virtually no other reviews for a reader to compare their judgment on other places...

Moving your loved one to an assisted living facility is a difficult decision. When the time came to move my Dad, I looked into a various possibilities, but I have never regretted my choice of The Cohen Home. From the first moment we took the tour, we could tell that this place was different. It wasn't a facility, it was "home" and we were made to feel welcomed, respected and loved. After two and a half years, not only are we treated like family, we have become family. We have formed genuine caring relationships with the staff, the other residents and their loved ones. There is so much stress worrying about an ailing and aging parent. The care and attention my Dad is receiving from the Cohen Home helps put me and my Mom at ease. We have the utmost confidence that everyone who interacts with Dad treats him like their own relative. Any questions or concerns I might have are addressed quickly and professionally. And I'm always provided with more than enough information to make educated and informed decisions. The love and support my father receives being a resident here has provided him a quality of life, I am not sure he would have gotten anywhere else. This was easily the best decision for our family during this difficult time.
