I have had years of experience dealing with long term care facilities and, although by far the most expensive, Concordia is the only one in the Springfield area that I trust to put my wife in.

Our parents moved into Concordia 16 years ago. They enjoyed having an exercise room, hair salon, activities and special entertainment. The dining room offering delicious food and several special buffets throughout the year. Mom had some health issues requiring her to go to the REACH unit. Mom received wonderful care until her death a few weeks later. Dad was able to downsize to another apartment and lived there until 3 months ago when he had health issues requiring him to go to the REACH unit. Dad received wonderful care until his death recently. The staff at Concordia during the 16 years have been very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and became "family". Thank-you for the wonderful years during the time our parents lived independently and for the great care given at the end of their lives. What a blessing to them and us. Judy Blalock, Dennis Crady and family.

My wife regularly takes her therapy dog to hang out with the residents. Concordia is THE best. So kind, clean, well run. 5 Stars. 🌟

First know one place is perfect for everyone, each person has different expectations and needs. In our family's case, my mother and aunt both needed care. Aunt needed assisted living and Mother wanted her independence. Concordia was $15K a year cheaper for my Aunt to live there than her previous assisted living center and the people were always excellent towards her. She made friends with the staff and residents quickly and when she moved to the Care center that did not change. Concordia was quick to address any concerns and our overall experience with staff and management was been excellent. Mother is still in independent living and loves her home (apt) and never wants it to change. She has a wonderful view of the courtyard, large closets, washer/dryer combo and large living areas. Having dealt with multiple locations and different styles of supported living centers I can say that you have to find the fit between the caregivers and the resident. Each of the locations we have had family in have a different style of management and different style of living for residents. Some, like Concordia are very active and others are more focused on specific kinds of individuals needs. I would recommend matching the resident to the facility. All in all, I consider Concordia as a place that cares for the people there, works to maintain the facilities regularly and listens to/address resident needs as they change. I recommend you take a tour and get to know them to see if they are a good fit for your needs.

My husband and I moved to Concordia Village over 2 years ago. We were both close to 70 years old and are on the younger end of the residents who live here. However, we love it at Concordia Village. We have never felt negative about the choice to move here and know we did not come too early. We love all the opportunities available to us. We have tried new activities at Concordia Village which we would never have tried at our previous residence. We both are involved in the village life. The other residents are our Concordia Village family and we so enjoy the socialization. Both of us enjoy the exercise, creative opportunities, volunteering, and enjoying special events that take place at Concordia Village. The staff are marvelous. The food is delicious. I can't think of a negative thing about this place. The sooner one makes the move, the sooner one can enjoy everything Concordia Village has to offer.
