Cottages of New Lenox, Cottage #5

My mother in law has been at The Cottages for almost 6 months and we are so pleased with everything! Had an Easter luncheon today and it was lovely! They take such great care of all the residents and the caregivers are remarkable, caring, kind and thoughtful. It’s a hard decision to have a loved one go into a care facility, but this was a great decision to have her at The Cottages. The compassion they show the residents, along with the activities and good food and safety, is the reason we love it there!

My dear mom has dementia and has been a resident at The Cottages for a little more than 10 months. I am blown away and so thankful for the care and LOVE she receives at this facility. She is comfortable and safe and cared for with the highest level of respect. The family atmosphere that is created by the staff is so comforting to me. My mom had some heart issues and landed in the local ER. While I was in the ER with her, the attending RN received a call from the nursing manager at The Cottages. The ER RN commented how impressed she has been with The Cottages. She told me that the staff at The Cottages really knows and cares about their residents. Apparently, other facilities do not check on their residents and often don’t even know the residents when they are contacted by the ER for patient info. On a lighter note, it has been so much fun to attend the various events that are offered to both residents and family members. Musical guests, sing alongs, reptile show, fall tea, Mother’s Day tea, Easter brunch, outdoor movie night, Oktoberfest, dementia support group, to name a few. Dementia is SO hard for everyone involved. The staff at The Cottages does their best bring some normalcy to the situation and to increase comfort levels for everyone. I wish that everyone dealing with dementia (or assisted living needs) could experience The Cottages of New Lenox.

After moving my mom from another memory care facility to The Cottages of New Lenox I couldn’t be happier!! The caregivers are wonderful to her and all the other residents. My mom used to be very anxious and now is much more calm and feels at home. The director is personal and open and wants only the best for the families. I am so thankful and grateful my mom lives there and has activities and delicious food to eat! Thank you to all at The Cottages for caring for my mom!! 💜

We had been looking for a place for senior care for our aunt who has dementia and other health issues. After visiting 7 nursing homes we found that the cottages seem to have the best patient care. We are so happy they worked with us to move her from a rehab center over to their facility. If you are looking for a family member to get excellent care, look no more. I want to tell EVERYONE about a great place for your loved one that may need a little help. The staff at Cottages of New Lenox are so kind and really look out for their residents. My mother in law struggled at two other facilities before she moved to the Cottages. She was very depressed and had given up on life. Now she is happy and her health and mobility have improved beyond what we hoped for.Thank you Scot for taking such wonderful care of our elders.
